ISLAMABAD, (SANA): South Korean Ambassador to Pakistan Chung Jo Choi has said that Pakistani economy is on its path to recovery and consistency in policies, better infrastructure for investment and stability in the country is necessary to enhance the pace of its recovery.
Talking to a Delegation of House of Trade and Industry Tuesday Ambassador said bilateral trade between the two countries in enhancing which can be further improved with the help of private sector.
Ambassador said Korean small and medium enterprises (SME) sector is full of opportunities for Pakistan business men. He said Korea is ready to co-operate with Pakistan in auto mobile, medicines, textile, machinery and cutlery sectors through organizing expos.
Korean Ambassador highlighted his future plan that his aim is to boost bilateral trade and play a positive role in the Pakistan development. He said to implement his plan he will utilize exchange of business delegations, working with private sector and remove the hurdles in the bilateral trade and making long standing relations between the chambers of commerce in the two countries.
The delegation was led by FPCCI Islamabad Chairman Hameed Akhtar Chaddha. The delegation included President Standing Committee for Public Communication, FPCCI Malik Sohail, Arif Rafique, Tariq Mehmood and Shahid-ur-rehman.
On this occasion Hameed Akhtar Chaddha appreciated the investment by Korean top ranking company LOTTE in Pakistan. Hameed Akhtar said Pakistan oil, Gas, Natural resources , Power, IT, Telecom, food , agriculture, transport and tourism sectors are open for all foreign investors including Korea.
Speaking on the occasion Malik Sohail said Pakistani goods expo in Korea will promote our products and it will widen the Pakistani market network. He also demanded the establishment of special economic zone for Korean goods, Co-operation in Natural resources sector, import of medicines and establishing factories for car manufacturing in Pakistan.
Malik Sohail invited the Korean Ambassador for a visit to Federal Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
