ISLAMABAD: Addressing the envoys conference here on Wednesday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that relations with China had gained more importance with the launch of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which was an economic game-changer for the region.

He said that the CPEC would also benefit Iran, Afghanistan and Central Asia, and would result in regional prosperity. He said Pakistan would continue to make efforts for Afghanistan's stability and peace. "The world must know that Pakistan will never allow its soil to be used by terrorists against any other country," he said.

The prime minister asked the ambassadors to use their offices in promoting Pakistan's positive image abroad. "Introducing the green passport as a symbol of respect and honour will be your real success," he said and expressed confidence that they (ambassadors) would consider their responsibilities as a sacred mission.

The envoys, who attended the conference, included Jalil Abbas Jilani, Masood Khalid, Abdul Basit, Dr Maleeha Lodhi, Ayesha Riyaz, Naghmana Hashmi, Abrar Hussain, Tehmina Janjua and Qazi Khalilullah. Minister for Defence Khwaja Asif, Advisor to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi and senior officials of the Foreign Ministry also attended the moot.

No matter who you are in the business world, EVERYONE knows about Pakistan's growing market and the top ten high growth economies. This civilian government has turned the tide in just a few years and have tackled 70 year old serious issues. That's an awesome record. History will remember them, from going a few hundred millions left in the treasury 3 years ago (and ready to go bankrupt in 90 days) to now having $ 24 billion in the national treasury, stock market tripled the size (billions of investments), Chinese and soon to come Western investments combined worth around $ 75 billion, its all truly great work.

Not to mention, increasing the tax net of Pakistan to 3 trillion and this coming year, the WB and the ADB expect that to be around 3.5 to 4 trillion. This has and will continue to grow Pakistan and will create lasting career, business and employment opportunities for millions of Pakistanis per year.

CPEC phase II is coming in a year or so, Western investments will start in 2018, Audi, Renault, Ford will put plants inside Pakistan and a whole lot will be going on. LG and Samsung also want a piece of the pie like HAER has done. So dozens of more billions to come. With that, the name of Pakistan will grow in a positive light and her passport will be respected like how India's is today. Truly remarkable success story in just three years

This is the true achievement of CPEC for PK. It will unite and connect the country as never before.

Especially PKs agricultural sector will benefit from it as well, improving the lives of the farmers.

China has achieved so much through strategic planning and execution... PK gov/people can learn so much from the Chinese experience. Also from mistakes.

SEZs if managed well will truly transform your country. With increase in revenues you can begin to invest in education and health care.

As more and more Chinese companies are coming to establish in SEZs, others will only follow.
