Pak Bridge teams returns after beating India

Pakistan defeated rivals India to win the Bridge Federation of Asia and Middle East title.



The Pakistan’s bridge team returned victorious from India at the Jinnah International Airport. The players were greeted by hundreds of people as they showered roses on them.


A six member Pakistan team participated in the 16th Bridge Federation of Asia and Middle East tournament. The Pakistani team has won the title six times and the last time Pakistan won the title was in 1999.


Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and hosts India participated in the event. With the win, Pakistan qualified for the ‘Bermuda Bowl World Championship’ which would be played in Holland, later in the year.

I am sure army is hero for many people, but they are no longer above criticism.
