Pakistan seems to be dragging its feet on National Security Advisor (NSA) level talks with India. Islamabad is yet to get back after New Delhi proposed August 23 for the talks. CNN-IBN has accessed exclusive details of the divide within the Pakistani establishment over NSA-level talks.

According to sources in Pakistan, the country’s Army has expressed fears that terror will top agenda at the meet. While the Army fears that India will provide proof of Pakistan’s role in Gurdaspur and Udhampur terror attacks, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s regime is finding it tough to convince their all powerful Army.

Sources further said that the Pakistani Army is upset over the omission of Kashmir issue in the joint statement issued by the foreign secretaries of both the countries following a meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his counterpart Nawaz Sharif.

Meanwhile, sources in the Ministry of External Affairs in India have said that it is unusual for Pakistan to take so long to confirm talks. They confirmed that New Delhi had proposed August 23-24 for NSA-level talks but there has been no response from Islamabad. They added that India was determined on not calling off talks, adding that the ball was not in Pakistan court. Pointing that the agenda for the talks was made clear by both PM Modi and Sharif in Ufa itself, they said the focus would be on terror.

Fear may not be the right word.

However, caught in a jam they definitely are. Their PM has accepted something now its for the wheels within wheels to show the direction.

The PM of Pakistan reminds me of Bahadur Shah Zafar - his writ runs only within his office.

With the current system, they don't need a military coup any more, at least not with Nawaz Sharif. He is happy with his symbolic position as PM. At least he is not being hunted and deposed this time.

Oh my, i fear the day indians figure out that uranus isnt actually a UAV.....

What a ridiculous article. The reason why Pakistan doesn't want to talk is because of recent Indian statements and needless evidenceless accusations.

This article is nothing more than sensationalism.
evidence is present and excepted by UN / US and other power ....... other then PAK kangaroo court everyone can see evidence. lol

We have seen your evidence when your NAS forget his evidence briefcase in home due to stomach upset.

that's why UN put HZ under terrorist list without any evidence? ha ? every other person is wrong or fool including your friend ( china) which has go not chance of using veto citing lack of proof?

Come with proof that UN declared HZ a terrorist based on fancy story and china sided with India.

You're being ridiculous. If we want to play this game, India is known to fund terrorism, from the LTTE, to Baluchi militants.

Your point is worthless, stop wasting my time.

Why will be the army scared of the civilian govt in Pakistan. Its the other way around. Anyway I don't see change on the ground as long as there are two power centers in Pakistan

Prove Pakistan is involved in terrorism. Don't post articles, provide physical proof. What's stopping you from proving it?

You sound completely and utterly retarded, don't waste my time. I will not be replying any longer.
