LAHORE, (SANA): Pakistan Army’s Medical Corps Saturday handed Punjab government as many as 150 uniformed doctors to function in government hospitals of the province.

The sources privy to the Punjab government ruled out further negotiations with the protesting doctors, as they are playing with the lives of patients.

It should be mentioned here that the strike of doctors entered today its 13th day. Three days ago, the government set a deadline for the doctors to put an end to their strike. The deadlines has come to an end today.

The provincial government resolved the outdoor patient departments (OPDs) will be restored at all costs.

Meantime, Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif is slated to meet senior doctors to afford the protesters one last chance. The preparations have been finalized to take action against young doctors.

Special branch has compiled the lists of protesting doctors and these lists have been dispatched to the medical superintendents of the concerned hospitals and the SP’s of the area.

Meantime, Young Doctors Association (YDA) spokesman said it is yet to be seen as to how many days Army Corps runs the hospitals.
