Pak, Afghanistan, US vow to eliminate Daesh in tripartite Kabul meeting

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan, Afghanistan and the United States have expressed their commitment to eliminate Daesh from the region at a Tripartite meeting attended by military delegations from the three countries.

The Inter-Services Public Relations, media wing of the Pakistan Army said in the statement that Pakistan military delegation headed by Director General Military Operations (DGMO) Pakistan Army, Major General Sahir Shamshad Mirza participated in the counter Daesh and Pak-Afghan Bilateral military cooperation held at the Ministry of Defence in Kabul where areas of mutual security interests and concerns were deliberated upon.

"Participants re-affirmed their resolve to continue fight against the common threat of terrorism.

Three sides expressed their commitment to eliminate Daesh from the region which can best be achieved through information sharing, complementary efforts and enhanced cooperation"

The army said In the Pak- Afghan Bilateral meeting, important issues linked to cross border fire and attacks, counter terrorism, coordinated actions on respective side along Pak Afghan border and detainees exchange were discussed.

If you are setting out to eliminate a threat, it is absolutely essential to avoid actions that exacerbate it.

Daesh in S. Asia is nothing but disenchanted fanatics who view the status quo as unsalvageable. Daesh fans their anti-establishment tendencies and fuels the fire by further pouring the oil of hatred that Stokes the fires of barbarism that is the hallmark of Daesh.

This means, the use of subterfuge and deviousness to sow discord amongst radicals, turn them against one another, and create a divide and conquer situation, can create a distilled breed of (sic) quintessential radical in whose eyes humans lose dignity.

If one believes in this line of reasoning, then the obvious solution to the Daesh problem is to deprive oxygen to its fire. Thus means, at all costs, the legitimacy of manageable radicals must be maintained. If they are seen as the bulwarks of the effort against (neo-)colonial subjugation of Muslim lands, then Daesh will be denied it's recruitment.

We need to make sure the Afghan Taliban and Haqqani network keep these so-called Daesh supporters in check, these Daesh are truly dogmatic, it is either their way or the highway, having said that the most effective deterrent against them is to make sure foreign forces vacate Afghanistan, for this one needs to utilize Haqqani and Afghan Taliban, not these TTP abominable masquerading as Daesh, as they will subsequently demand Khilafah to be established in FATA then KPK and so on.Kudos sir

or says what was that monkey called Yadev doing in Pakistan? what is Herbayar doing in Dehli and what are Indians doing along borders?

Americans are too busy ensuring that poppy crops are grown and the harvest can be safely shipped out of Afghanistan under the patronage of CIA. India will just tell the Americans to mind its business in exploiting the Lithium deposits and give the Northern Alliance thugs their cut.
Americans and their partners in Afghanistan have one thing in common their distaste and contempt for the common Afghans specially of Pashton ethnicity and then their enmity towards Pakistan.

Americans will only demand Pakistan to bring the Afghan taliban to the table and then either drone the leadership or let the NDS assassinate the participating members inside Pakistan to blame it for facilitating the Afghan taliban.

what needs to happen is that enough American coffins go back to America and this will end their appetite for violence and starting another round of war in this god forsaken part of the world. Americans are in a perpetual war since the end of WW2 and they have been giving hell to the world and will continue to do so but only have a change of heart when they receive body bags like they did during Vietnam war. the current and last president took a U turn on Afghanistan and instead of seeking a peaceful solution they have chosen further violence causing more deaths to People of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
I hope the reprisal from the grieving American families will change their policy once they start burying their sons on regular basis and tell the leadership that they ant take this war any more

when it suits them they put the label of Sipah Sahabah, then Lashker Ghanvi, or TTP or Daesh. they are mostly one and the same and mostly the members are shared and interchange as well as it suits them
Daesh has adapted the Al Qaeda's decentralized organisation model. where there are independent cells of locals that are free to modify and customize their operations based on a broader terrorist guideline.

this is why whenever Daesh takes ownership of atrocities in Europe, then it is proven by the material recovered from the homes of the perpetrators.

I visited Pakistan 5 years back and saw rows of open air trawlers parked on a road close to M2, loaded with American vehicles, who's paying for transit?
There are also stories about American military aid, full of scrap... being dumped into Karachi.
Why Pakistan didn't send a bill of junk dumping to US?

Pakistan has developed the habit of acting like a helpless housewife infront of the Americans. I am quite certain that the Yanks will once again resort to rough tactics which will force Pakistan to do the inevitable. It is only a matter of time.

Basically what these groups have done is changed their names and essentially rebranded themselves. They're still the same group of people. I seriously doubt these orders of bombings in Pakistan are coming from Baghdadi which is already under immense pressure in the Middle East.
