PAK Afghan peace Commission, did they see this coming ?

Leader, till the time you have people with views as below, you don't need anyone else to pull you down. AFAIC, peace beween two neighbors is always a good thing. I'm glad that Pakistan and Afghanistan has shown sign of maturity and willing to burry past hatred and work towards a better and peaceful future. Personally I would like to see a peaceful South Asia-China-Russia which is better for our children's peaceful, prosperous future. You would perhaps appreciate that 60+ years of enmity has only dragged us all backwards. It's time to look for the future.

Regards

like everywhere, difference of opinion are found...common !! however, who would not agree with whatever you said, prevailing reality states differently and according to the move PAKistan made is clearly a sign for interfering states to stop manipulating the situation to their dream of becoming a dominating power in the international politics.

some country that claimed to hold itself as stakeholder is missing here !! hmmm....:azn:

Its for Afghani people to exert independence and not be cowed by its big neighbor. India's ties with Afghan goes long way and will not come to naught because of this peace committee.

dont be foolish,

I'm not being foolish. The only reason why Karzai is trying to make peace with Pakistan right now is because he knows Pakistan has influence in Afghanistan, but if Pakistan takes Karzai seriously and does the things he asks, then later down the road he'll start supporting terrorists inside Pakistan like he did since 2002. Why is Karzai hosting the terrorist BLA commander Brahmdagh Bugti in Afghanistan to this day.

Karzai admits Bugti’s presence in Afghanistan: Leaks - GEO.tv

Pakistan will regret making peace with Karzai in a couple of years if he gains more control of Afghanistan. Karzai is extremely anti-pakistan and extremely pro-india. Dont trust the ganja puppet.

India only wants for Afghans what they want for themselves. If they want our help, we are happy to give it. If they don't want it, that's fine too. So we are not insecure about our role in Afghanistan. And one cannot say that India is missing, if Afghans give us a place in their hearts!

one he didnt support any terrorists into Pakistan, Pakistan has never blamed Karzai for that (not in my knowledge atleast)

secondly if by any day Pakistan wants BLA leader Brahamdagh Bhugti on table they can get him, it has got nothing to do with Karzai government's area of influence and we all know that..

Remove the puppet and have free elections and let Afghans come to power instead of a US-import.
The most important thing for Afghan people to stop thinking on ethnic lines completely and look at themselves as Afghans. Ask the US to spend more money on development and building institutions because once they leave, ther'll forget Afghanistan like last time.

Are you aware that 2014 is the year that Afghan security forces in accordance with an agreement between the International Community and the government of the great nation of Afghanistan, will independently protect Afghans and serve the common good? Are Afghan security forces not soon taking full responsibility for seven provinces and areas of Afghanistan? Is this not strong proof that the US wants Afghan people and its government to independently flourish without outside interference? US and NATO forces have made great strides in freeing Afghanistan from the Taliban grip, but ultimately it will be up to the people of Afghanistan to overcome any differences and build upon the foundation laid for them by the US. We fully support all efforts by Afghanistan and Pakistan to counter insurgency. The US and NATO forces have developed a strong working relationship with its allies to address shared security issues. Did you know Afghanistan, Pakistan and coalition forces worked together Dec. 23, 2010 at a tripartite commission to discuss areas for future cooperation as all seek build on 2010 security gains and defeat Taliban.

US and NATO forces continue to ensure that Afghan security forces are well trained and equipped to deal with the Taliban and other terrorists in the region.

The US also continues to spend graciously to restore and rebuild what was destroyed under the Taliban regime. Are you denying the progress made in Afghanistan since the fall of the Taliban regime? Or, having sacrificed nothing yourself, have you no knowledge of the economic ruin and hardship faced by Afghans under Taliban restrictions? If Afghanistan’s path were not moving towards prosperity and freedom, why does polling data show that most Afghans see improvements and are hopeful for their country’s future?

We do not and will not let history repeat itself and withdraw from Afghanistan before its enemies, once the Soviets and now the Taliban, are defeated. This time our commitment will be long standing so that Afghans will not once again be left at the mercy of Taliban atrocities.
