Never considered- the AMRAAM was requested and the latest export variant was offered. No need to go for something that would need extra integration time/costs.

With the Chinese inducting the S-400, any chance it can be included in future Shaheen excercises to give PAF pilots the option to train against premier Indian air defense systems?

I am surprised the PAF hasn't trained with the Malaysian Air Force whose SU-30s are the most closely related to the IAF SU-30MKI.

Any bomb truck would be accompanied with EW and AShM escorts. By the time the enemy realizes what has happened, the bomb trucks have off loaded their stand off weapons and are on their return leg.

Whether this happens or not, and the enemy gets wind of a such a possibility, they would have to allocate air assets in the "drop zone." That would be quite a wastage in itself.

Gawadar to RP = 1300kms
RP to DZ = 1100Kms
Kill Zone = From Mumbai to Kochi, and out to Hyderabad, possibly covering Bengaluru too.

Core ttl shells do not recognise in general. People at Datong mock them as toys on tarmac.

The shells are inherently locked out anyway. The Turks had a long drawn out negotiation for a partial unlock. I believe only the Israelis have "full" access.

A/B blcks. utilise derived bourne shells with de-escalated priviliges to embedded architectiure. I was involved with kernel engineering so shells are not locked out but inter-operate with extremely de-escalated priviliges.

That's OK, Bourne shell explains everything. But I still don't understand how that disallows DACT with Thunder, and if it does, then that means it can't be used in air war at all. Which can't be true since they are routinely scrambled against India.
