Maybe difference between F 16 Blk 70/72 and F22/F35AoA! Can anyone please elaborate the difference between "Project Azm" & Block IV??? JazakALLAH
"May God reward you [with] goodness."JazakALLAH
We don't have any block IV on offical level,Blk 3 is still in testing phase. My question was how can we differentiate Block IV from Project Azm? Just Like Chinese have differentiated J20 nd FC31 in terms of both technology as well as in Marketing Terms.

He said it will be able to field energy weapons not as will have energy weapons.Block IV can be semi stealth with minimized RCS like Rafael with more use of composites while Project AZM means fifth generation or above fifth generation because as per CAS, our 5th generation jet will have directed energy weapons e.g. F-35 is a fifth generation jet but it is yet to test its laser weapons
It is my personal opinion and not based on any info or knowledge

there is no official block 4 and never will be because if this version will enters mass production let suppose production will start at 2025/2028 than it will become already obsolete in term of capabilities as compare RAFALEBlock IV can be semi stealth with minimized RCS like Rafael with more use of composites while Project AZM means fifth generation or above fifth generation because as per CAS, our 5th generation jet will have directed energy weapons e.g. F-35 is a fifth generation jet but it is yet to test its laser weapons

thank you sir,But other senior members here on PDF telling us PAF requirements of block-3 will be 100-150Actually there will be and there are hints from official sources that there will be future blocks as technology is not static JF-17 will get upgrades, but it wont be something radically new. Just a update to the Block-3 internal systems. Same as we got blk-2 from blk-1. Expect a new Block after every 50 JF-17 batch production as long as we are making them.
As I said it would just be a update to the Block-3 nothing externally different. We want to have 100+ block-3s but with the current rate of production achieving 50 units will take 3-4yrs. Technology evolves, so they will roll out a updated model because better parts will be available, its a practical necessity.thank you sir,But other senior members here on PDF telling us PAF requirements of block-3 will be 100-150
Currently there is no block-4 former ACM told us their will be no further blocks after block-3, If you assuming block-4 will be the stealth version of JF-17 than you are living in your fairy tails, because if PAF want to make stealth version of JF-17 aka Block-4 then it will be no more JF-17 but totally different and new project because it will be externally and internally different from original JF-17 if there is plan to develop block-4 it will be similar upgrades to block-3 (AESA/AVIONICS) UPGRADE, AT BEST IF THERE IS A PLAN TO DEVELOP BLOCK-4 ITS SIMILAR TO F-16 BLOCK-70/72 AND F-22 (AZM)My question was how can we differentiate Block IV from Project Azm?
