I think this is a pretty big deal. The air defense system will be a big deal. If PAF is getting HQ9B and YLC8E + I guess JY-27A from before, then you have the basis of a modern air defense network that can detect stealth aircraft at medium to long range. I'm assuming that PAF would have to be getting the EW stations also. It doesn't make sense to just get long range search radar and SAM without getting EW stations, command centers and probably CIWS with them. This is sufficient to protect Pakistan against IAF for a long time. I don't see how IAF even with a lot more Rafale having successes against J-10C/JF-17s and this air defense.

I'm not sure UCAVs are that big of a deal. I mean the ones right now are still quite simple. Useful against insurgent forces with no air cover, but there is quite a few UCAV in development/testing in China right now that is more advanced.

You don't buy a weapon system as a "tit for tat"
Plus the supposed MQ-9 procurement (which has been canceled) is unarmed.
Rather the UCAVs are for counter insurgency and anti-armor

This is a day to be proud of our armed forces. It seems as there are about 6 drone setups (local, Chinese and Turkish and Italian), HQ-9, J-10C, JFT BIII, Howitzers, etc. Amazing and super fast growth in capability leaving the dreams of "air supremacy" with Rafale and "cold start" in dust.

Hi just a off topic and don’t take it pinch of salt IAF probably not getting F35 as it might swing Russian moods
beside even if IAF get f35 Americans will be deployed at your bases as been with f16blk52 for some years to come
though reason is very clear in your forces there are lots and lots of Russian trained officers and USA will not let go f35 technology into Russian hands and eventually to China
