JF-17 has a weak engine, that's for sure.
But PAF is waiting for a reliable Chinese engine fit for the purpose, which has yet to arrive.

What if a WS-13 is ready for mass production as according to reports???

Well..by ready i mean of PAF is statisfied with its performance ..
If WS 13 is ready it should be adopted...PAF can make its 5th fighter around it as well..may be leverage the high numbers to get a license production ..though it wont be easy

No its fine engine for jft thrust to weight ratio with this engine is near 1 good for light weight fighter jet
