Thankfully it is just the aircraft, well as people are saying might be normal.

Thats Bull....
Dont they have strict safety protocols and fire fighting systems in place to extinguish the fire before it consumes the plane....

MAY 29 - According to local news channels, due to short circuit, fuel tank of a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jet caught fire at Samungli Air Base. The aircraft was undergoing maintenance work when this incident happened.

Fire has been controlled and extinguished. The aircraft is completely destroyed. No reports of injuries or loss of life.
Pakistan needs to check the reasons behind this incident and also now work really fast on getting 250 JF-17 Thunder Fighters so we can replace our old F-7 and Mirages as soon as possible and also should focus on getting 100 + J-10 B and also some more F-16s

.
Most probably F-7, because it is on Samungli.

The media did a kind of a frenzy, as if something huge had happened, GEo were saying that the PAF is not letting them enter the airbase and were making a hash of it.

Screw Pak Media they only know how to screw up things & spread massive lies. It's good that Pak Army is dealing very well with the media because they know the truth.

.
PAF should replace their old fighters soon & they must make plans for buying new modern fighter jets, US is not going to give anything, so Pakistan needs to stay very close to China.

PAF needs to get a huge fleet of J 10B & hopefully JF 17 Block 2 is going to be a very good air craft because what I have read about the Block 2 I am loving it but I hope it is true.

“Two blasts occurred soon after the aircraft caught fire,” sources said, adding that the F-7 aircraft was being repaired when the incident occurred. Later, a technical team examined the plane to determine the cause of fire.
