What's new

PAF female pilot embraced Shahadat as plane crashed

Flying coffins anyone?

RIP

And we are getting more used trainer jets phased out by Turkish Air Force.
if you compare the j7 to the mig 21, the j7 is better crash rate wise.

unfortunately pakistan is keeping the j-7mf/mp and the j-7 pg. the j-7 p are being retired as they are old, but the pg which was the plane that crashed and the mp will still be flying beyond 2020.

the j-7mf/mp are not even that old, early 2000's [depends on variant] there the most advanced variant of the j-7 series in pakistans inventory. but the pg is in between so im not sure. but this was a dual seat variant and paf uses the dual seat variant for supersonic training and they dont have much of them so this was a bigger loss than it already is. they lost a good plane but more importantly they lost a good pilot too. RIP

on a side-note china has started production on the dual seat jf-17 hopefully these will replace the latter

it has everything to do with f-7s
they are past their service life and there is little you can do beyond that
other than that they are not going to survive in a modern threat environment
F7PGS and FT7PGs have not passed their life they are relatively newer plat forms old ones are F7s and Mirage-IIIs.
Technical errors may happen even in latest jets.

The facts showing that both persons take chance to save fatal damage on ground so may be due to ejection at lower altitude caused death of female fighter pilot. We may only pray for her eternal life.

Very Sad news. May Allah forgive her sins and give her the highest rank in Jannah. As well as patience to her family.

My heartfelt condolences to the people of Pakistan on loosing such a bright and dedicated daughter.

انا لله وانا اليه راجعون

Sacrificing our sisters in flying coffins. Ground the junk and give our sisters and brothers jf-17s. Most people on here are too worried about exports and yet forget about the equipment we're using. Shame on us!
I thought you said we need to decrease defence budget? make up your mind

Maybe this sad and unfortunate incident, will give a kick in the nuts to the bean counters, and the production of the JF-17 will increase.
If i am correct it stands at 25 a year right?

In my opinion PAF should triple the rate of JF-17 production, and phase out all these yesteryear aircrafts ASAP.

I used to think @MastanKhan Sahab is sometimes to harsh on PAF, now he makes perfect sense. I think it was he who said "forget exports, we need to focus on replacing our old fleet".

Hi,

The F7PG's would be around 16-18 years old by now.

Also our colleague @TaimiKhan mentioned that too many pilots have died in the last few crashes even though we have the Martin Baker zero zero seats---so we need to look into what is happening over here.

And thank you for remembering the last comment---.

I think that PAF should stop indulging into the sales of this aircraft---they have done enough---I think that they need to focus on replacing their own fleet at this time at a much faster pace.

See---here is what I think how PAF thinks----if they see a problem dissipate---or an issue not happening---they think the problem and issue are no more---and the initial worry was a false flag and the level of urgency goes down.

About 30 + years ago during my time at studying automotive engineering---I read an article written by a top notch race car driver---he stated something like " a good driver knows at least 1 / 2 an hour before a vehicle breaks down due to mechanical problem on the race course other than a catastrophic failure "---the vehicle starts giving hints and warnings at what is going wrong and the driver thinks he can coax something extra out of it---.

" Incidently---the problem does not go away even the signs disappear after awhile ". This phenomenon must have been faced by all of you who operate any kind of machinery.

Now in our case---we already know about the condition of our fleet----. We also have the ability and capability to replace them at a much faster pace than we are doing right now---.

You know---accident happen and will happen---but when officers of the rank of sqdrn ldrs and wing commndrs start going down---as in the past---you got serious problems---.

May Allah Almighty bless you with the highest rewards .. May He give patience & strength to her family Ameen... A great loss for Pakistan..

"Shaheed tal zondayaay".. Shaheed never die.

To be honest @Windjammer @araz @TaimiKhan @MastanKhan would know better. But my guess would be yes.
If i am correct it stands at 25 a year right?

Currently 16+ .. They are increasing it to 25.

F-7s & Mirages are soldiering on from the 70s., these relics need to be phased out! ASAP!
These are our Flying coffins.

This is bullsh!t. PAF is smoking some weed or what? Why don't we just ground these cr@p mirages and F7's. Why it isn't looking into this issue of ejection seats as @TaimiKhan said in past few pages.

We need to do something and we need to do it now. We are losing the best of our nation due to these relics. Enough of this cr@p.

Pakistan has lost its daughter today. Enough is enough. Forget about SU35. Forget about any 5th gen aircraft. Just expedite the development and production of JFT.
