Why was video being made?

As far as I can remember, I had watched this video back in 2010.
They were filming it for some media purposes.

When the F-7 took off, the engine was not producing enough thrust, so the pilot bailed out.
But as he jumped out, the engine somehow started working. And by then it was too late since the aircraft was flying without any pilot. So it crashed.
The altitude was less for jump and parachute to be deployed, it resulted in injuries.
This mishap took place on Minhas Airbase.
Can`t say more than this.

At least a decade old video, lead F-7 suffers a bird strike soon after take off, realising the emergency, you can see No 2 pulling away from the stricken jet.

looks like his hydraulic controls stopped responding so he ejected before the plane gets too far. pretty sure he was really shaken.

India can never match this level of training. Hats off. Ejection training from Chinese plane after take off.

Of course! Indians are much much better trained, like shooting down their own aircraft moments after they take off from their own air base! Or shooting down Pakistani F16s without firing a single missile! Or Killing 7 trees with thousand pound bombs! Or crashing over 180 aircraft in the span of 20 Years! Or losing 24 aircraft to crashes in a single year! Nobody can match Indian levels of training.

I believe this was a 2007 crash out of Minhas due to a engine flameout. The pilot was Sqn Ldr Imran and was injured due to the low level ejection. The tower actually called out the flameout and instructed the pilot to eject. The aircraft did seem to resume power after the ejection.
There was another crash the same month of an F-7 on approach to Masroor that crashed due to a bird hit.

Lost thrust on take off because of a bird strike killing the engine. Remember seeing this in a PAF official ad for proper refuse disposal after Eid.
