PAF being made air force of 21st century: PAF chief
ISLAMABAD, May 30 (APP): Pakistan Air Force is in the process of acquiring latest and state-of-the-art equipment to build an Air Force, worth of the challenges of 21st century, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Rao Qamar Suleman said. Pakistan Air Force is the professional outfit, totally focussed on its primary mission, which is to provide an efficient and cost-effective aerial defence to its motherland, he said while addressing the graduating officers of 38th PN Staff Course at Pakistan Navy War College Lahore.
He unfolded his vision on the development and modernization of Pakistan Air Force to meet the ever demanding challenges of 21st century.
Addressng the student officers, the Air Chief said at present, it is providing all-out support to the land forces in Swat and Tribal Areas, in order to restore writ of the Government. We are extremely conscious of the collateral damage and have, therefore, resorted to attack militants sanctuaries, located in isolated areas, away from population, with precision weapons and almost pinpoint accuracy.
Chief of the Air Staff lauded the efforts of Commandant and College Faculty for the concentrated efforts in ensuring smooth conduct of the course and congratulated the graduating offices for their well earned degree.
