PA Helicopter crashes near Lasbela - Passenger list includes senior officers leading flood relief effort

ISPR + govt silence gives a free pass to rumours.. if right information is delayed, misinformation takes the place.
How many of us here have believed Mr V.Makarov spreading his rant about Adil Raja ?

It's the public that has to be vigil.

Repeated Violations
You cannot continue to blame the armed forces for the past since Raheel Sharif took charge the army has maintained a clear policy of non interference because it does not suit their narrative anymore so its beyond ridiculous to even indulge on the whole Bajwa helped with regime change fiasco we will only get bogged down.

The army is focused on the borders, terrorism and will help where the Govt needs be it Imran Khan or PDM.

There isn't a facade anymore its clear cut instructions and it's for the greater good it's just that Imran Khan is emotional about his seat loss and wants Bajwa to help him retake it. Whereas the army wants him to be back by the electoral process. Imran Khan upset the army by putting forth the idea that the army lent a helping to PDM which is certainly not the case the PTI leadership is ought to tarnish everyone just for the kursi which is kind of selfish if you ask me .

...

A very sad incident, may Allah SWT have mercy on the martyrs. Condolences

They were on a humanitarian mission for assisstance to flood hit people. Surely, they were/are blessed.

Let's not b complicate this matter further. It was a simple CFIT case due to bad weather. Whoever wants to claim it, can go ahead.

They always claim such incidents to attract recruitment and increase own morale.

At some point the SOPs on poor weather ops for the 350 would have to be looked at even though the machine does admirably in Siachen weather including high winds.

Could be some oversight was done as not everyone is able to look a combined 6 stars in the eye and tell them to sit and wait it out but that is unfair of me to speculate.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Wednesday visited the families of army officers who were martyred in the helicopter crash in Balochistan and offered fateha for their departed souls, APP reported.

COAS Bajwa called on the family members of late Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali, Commander 12 Corps, Balochistan, Brigadier Khalid, and Colonel Laeq Baig Mirza.

Lieutenant General Sarfaraz Ali and Brigadier Khalid embraced martyrdom in a helicopter crash on Sunday night while the officers were on a flood relief operation whereas Lieutenant Colonel Laeq Baig was martyred by the militants in Ziarat a couple of weeks ago.

During the visit, COAS Bajwa expressed his heartfelt condolence to the bereaved families.

Earlier, COAS offered the funeral prayer of late Lieutenant General Sarfraz Ali, Commander 12 Corps, and Brigadier Khalid held at Shola Ground of Quetta Cantonment.

The Namaz-e-Janaza of Major Talha was offered in Rawalpindi. Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Azhar Abbas, Commander Rawalpindi Corps Lieutenant General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, senior serving and retired military officials, relatives of the Shaheed, and people from all walks of life attended the prayer.

Major Talha was buried with full military honour as a Pakistan Army contingent presented a guard of honour.

The funeral prayer of Naik Mudassar Fayyaz was offered in Shakargarh, Narowal.
The General Officer Commanding Sialkot Garrison, senior military and civil officials including the district police officer and deputy commissioner attended the funeral.

As per my intel, Bajwa had the heli sabotaged. One of the men on thr helicopter was next in line to become COAS and was pro PTI which didn’t align with Bajwa’s mission.

One thing is clear that this Mir Bajwa is a third grade criminal.

Maybe now, a change in SOP's will prevent OF5 and above officers, from using single engine aircrafts.

I don’t think single engine is the issue - its more about additional caution regarding weather and perhaps additional training.

For e.g. US coast guard pilots regularly fly in severe weather states with aircraft equipped for those conditions so have lesser casualties in those situations.

Conversely, some US national guard pilots who have had to perform high altitude rescue have suffered casualties even with twin engine UH-60Ms equipped with radar whereas PA Heli pilots used to that environment have a lower incident rate.

Here, it seems that based on the weather and surrounding terrain the AS350 wasn’t the best choice with only a radar altimeter guiding it - finally, wind shear could be a big factor as the conditions have some mirror in the Los Angeles crash that killed Basketball star Kobe Bryant.

The remaining conspiracy theories are absolute nonsense
