A Total of 4,132 paramilitary personnel died during duty between 2017 and 2019, the Lok Sabha was informed on Tuesday. Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai said the deaths include gazetted officers, subordinate officers and other ranks.

The highest number of personnel who died during their service period belonged to the CRPF (1,597), followed by 725 of the BSF, 671 of the CISF, 429 of the ITBP, 329 of the SSB and 381 of the Assam Rifles, he said replying to a written question.

By conservative estimates, that breaks down to over 100 casualties every month, when did the Indian army or Indian MOD ever disclosed such figures during this period.

. . . . . . . .
Did they jump off cliffs instead?
They didn't need to declare these deaths as they mostly fall under the: accidents, suicides, friendly fire, slipped into water and mercenary deaths of foreign nationals and refugees categories. India's actual KIA count is 2 in the last 73 years. And even those 2 that died took 50 PA and 50 PLA down with them when they were finally brought down by a torrent of Urukhai arrows.

The poor lower caste Indians always have to bear the brunt. Whatever the number of causalities the upper caste are least concerned.

Until recently, India's main border issues and clashes have been with Pakistan so no doubt most of these casualties were inflicted by Pakistan Army and Rangers .

You do know the difference between the Indian para-military and the Indian army I hope?

Or do you need a refresher?

BSF would be the only entity on this list that mans the border between India and Pakistan.

. .
Both are good at jumping off cliffs.

Of course, its called called abseiling and our forces are trained as part of mountaineering exercise for it.
Obviously we cant take the "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" approach the Chinese take to come down cliffs. lol

Yes indeed apart from BSF, CRPF are also active on LOC.
And talking of refreshers...it's prudent to add that Indian regular army casualties are in addition to these figures.

CRPF, The Central Reserve POLICE force active on the LOC?! This is news to me.

Are you sure you're not part of the Indian establishment? Because you sure seem to be deploying our forces based on your whims.
Care to furnish any evidence?

And yes, Im aware the IA casualties are separate to this, hence I was keen to know why you would think that most of these deaths were Indo-Pak LOC specific.
