Damn you, for the past 3 weeks i've been on a diet, now i'm hungry for some Philly Cheese Steak.

Have some fresh rotis. :D

After all, kitchens and housework are the main excuses so many poor girls cannot get an education.

Its more to do with people finding no use to rducate women in rural areas i mean in urban localities a degree means better marriage proposals for the girl but in rural areas they find no use of educating their daughters and consider it nothing more than something useless that will be of no benifit to her or them and prefer to keep her uneducated

Yes, that is the good old "cook the food, clean the house, wash the clothes, and make babies" philosophy for women. Why would want anything more, right? :D

educating a boy is to educate one person, educating a girl is to educate a whole (upcoming) family...

Considering it's more likely for a girl to end up staying at home making rotis and salan even with a MD or PhD even a Masters.

I'm on the fence on whether it's beneficial for a girl to get an higher education when society will bound them to house labor.

It all depends on the society in question. Some impose the "cook the food, clean the house, wash the clothes, and make babies" philosophy far more rigidly than others
