There are a lot of projects in China which u won't even realise they are invested by overseas Chinese.

I dont know why, some of my family are entrepreneurs as well. Only running small businesses but they can get huge money, why need to grow into something crazy...... We just let state owned companies to do large scale business.

All of that conglomerate money can be swallowed by just one state owned company (PT Pertamina) current investment in oil refinery which is 25 billion USD.

Wisma Putra has cancelled its summon to the ambassador of China, Huang Huikang, reportedly after the summon was vetoed by acting Foreign Minister Hamzah Zainuddin.

Chinese daily Sin Chew reported that the summon, issued by Deputy Foreign Minister Reezal Naina Merican, was overturned by Hamzah.

Not dual citizenship. Citizenship should be provided to people who are willingly dropping their old one, and coming back home.

There are many many comments who mention this. Actually Chinese malaysians have a very complicated relationship with China, because secretly they expect things off China, but China has largely let them down. This incident at a crucial stage evoked so strong feelings of solidarity and outpouring of support.

So in the end, the proposal works something like this:

1. Every willing overseas Chinese member should be issued an electronic Overseas Chinese card.
2. After once the card is issued, visa requirements should be waived.
3. Any one who is willingly ready to come back to China after leaving his old home, should be given citizenship.
4. Non-Interference policy must be maintained, except in cases where there is any possibility of riot.

If the Malaysian Chinese indeed has a complicate relationship with China, the same can by said or is even worse in the case of the Malaysian Indian in her relationship with India. The Tamil Nadu CM has been very critical and vocal on how Indians mostly Chennai Indians are treated in Malaysia. The reality is Malaysian Indians who are mostly uneducated, thanks to the corrupted all Indian MIC are in a real dilemma or deep shit. Uneducated and poor.

Umno Youth wants gov't to act against China ambassador - Malaysiakini

Umno Youth international bureau wants Wisma Putra to act against Chinese ambassador to Malaysia Huang Hui Kang for "meddling in the country’s internal affairs".

Its chief, Mohamed Hazali Abu Hassan, took exception to Huang’s remarks when visiting traditional ethnic Chinese trading area, Petaling Street, in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.

In a statement today, Hazali said Huang’s decision to visit Petaling Street during a ‘sensitive’ time and his remarks made there, raised several questions.

Huang on Friday had handed mooncakes to Petaling Street traders in conjunction with the mid-autumn festival.

His statement there, that the Chinese government is against racial discrimination and extremism, which appeared to be a subtle reference to the racially motivated protest at Petaling Street led by government-linked figures, had surprised Putrajaya.

Wisma Putra has reportedly summoned Huang over his remarks and he is expected to provide his explanation to Malaysian officials tomorrow.

Hazali also pointed out how diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia were over 41 years to date and therefore must be taken care of and protected.

Citing the two pandas loaned to Malaysia, Hazali said the ‘panda diplomacy’ was made due to the ‘high-level of friendship’ between the two countries.

“Due to the spirit of friendship, we think that Huang’s action was not appropriate and we urge that he explain his position."

He also reminded other ambassadors to always obtain advice from Wisma Putra before making any visits and statements, especially if the places and statements were sensitive in nature.

“Don’t let an isolated incident such as this affect the good relations between Kuala Lumpur and Beijing,” Hazali said.

Malaysia was a rising power in the 70s and 80s and was poised to be the next Japan. Unfortunately in the 90s when the extremist Muslim party got in power, everything went downhill.

On citizenship, sorry, it's impossible until now, even your grandpa.
The citizenship law of China is really outdated(right after cultural revolution).
There is some draft submitted in every year's National People's Congress, but for some unknown reasons revision of this law has not come to reality. But I'm sure, it will change in the coming decade, people's conservative mindset will gradually change.

I think you can consider coming back to live in China firstly. In your generation, the life may be not easy, if you are not rich or well-educated. But your children, your coming generations will become better and better. Anyway, overseas Chinese can get PRC citizenship some easier than foreigners.
