KARACHI: Addressing an inaugural ceremony of PIA workers housing scheme President Asif Ali Zardari said “some people are trying to live in news headlines and they are ready to do anything to destabilise the country.”

“Such people only live in news headlines but we live in the hearts of the common people due to our services for the country,” he said.

President Zardari said every worker of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) tries his best to continue with Zulfikar Bhutto’s and Benazir Bhutto’s mission.

A sincere question.. is Zardari as bad as he was expected to be? Except for the bad handling of the flood situation, I didn't see him do any blunder to receive so much hate. Or is it just his inability to do any positive change?

i really doubt if it's just zardari involve in corruption. i mean he alone cannot be blamed for corruption. there must be other leaders from his party as well as from other parties.

He's not going down as a good president, but I also think history won't be as cruel as some people think it will be.

Remember, Harry S Truman was one of the lowest rated presidents in his time; now, he is regarded as one of the best. Not saying people will love Zardari in the future, but they won't be as cruel.

huge chinese investment in pakistan should be credited to PPP govt. i am not PPP, nawaz of anyone political party fan but i do believe that zardari is doing its utmost to bring our economy out of problems.. ( apni pith ka zaur laga raha hay )
