The OPPO Find X flagship smartphone leads the all-screen trend in the smartphone industry. With the newly launched Find X, OPPO has entered the Western European market enabling the company to reach more people in the developed countries. OPPO has said that it would want to work with industry partners to develop a new ecosystem for 5G.

At the event, OPPO along with Qualcomm and Keysight demonstrated 5G data connectivity and how fast it would work on applications including browsing, watching videos and making video calls using the Find X 5G prototype.

“We are confident OPPO will be one of the first companies to launch commercial 5G smartphones in 2019,” said Brian Shen, OPPO Global Vice President and President of China Business.

Previously, at the 2018 OPPO Technology Exhibition, the smartphone maker focused on an increase in R&D spending to RMB 10 billion in 2019. This becomes a 150 per cent year-on-year increase. Along with this, Tony Chen, Founder, and CEO of OPPO also announced that the company will increase investment on a yearly basis.

“The smartphone will be at the core of a wide range of smart devices, which will all be connected through the 5G network. To address the areas of ‘smart health’ and ‘smart home’, OPPO has already begun work on several smart devices, exploring the intersection of 5G and cutting-edge technologies, and is collaboratively building a 5G+ innovation ecosystem with the entire industry,” said Shen.

“OPPO will drive the advancement of 5G together with AI, Big data and Cloud Computing (5G + ABC), making smartphones and smart devices true ‘intelligent personal assistants’. We believe that rich 5G application scenarios and killer 5G applications will emerge in the future, bringing disruptive experiences to users,” added Levin Liu, Head of OPPO Research Institute.

The Chinese smartphone maker will continue its collaboration with Qualcomm and other supply chain partners to develop its 5G ecosystem.

5G in Pakistan will arrive not before 2020. That's my wild guess. Secondly, 5G depends on VHF waves, shorter wavelength, more frequency and more energy. Human activities have already created lot of hazards, and there are concerns over outspread of cancer, due to high energy radiations.
