Russia won WW2, but paid a heavy price.
Same goes with Pakistan. Thousands and thousands of Pakistanis got killed. Industry got almost destroyed.
And here we are again, ready for repeating the same.
I was going to like your post, but your comment of repeating the same mistakes is very unfair.
You deal with life by what's thrown at you, most of the time, you don't get to pick and choose.
And, people, especially Pakistanis themselves are extremely unfair, because at one end, they say Pakistan is weak and poor, at the other end, they bestow it with some kind of God like powers. That is just not right.
Yes, Pakistan did pay a heavy price, but Pakistan did not tell them to start the cold war, Pakistan did not tell the Soviets to invade Afghanistan, Pakistan did not tell them to discover nuclear weapons, Pakistan did not tell the Indians to explode a nuclear device, and the list goes on.
Pakistan had to deal with those issues whether you like it or not. In the cold war, all countries had to pick a side, there was no way out, even India picked a side, the Soviets, but tried its best to keep the West happy, and the West did not want to lose India fully to the Soviets, so they played along.
Pakistan did things because it had no choice, issues were thrust at us and we had to deal with them the best we could, taking into account our own resources and capabilities, which weren't much, considering which, I think we have done extremely well.
Yes we paid a price, but that's life, tough decisions sometimes involved paying a price. Other nations have also paid a price, please get over it.
I support Pakistan but winning normally brings rewards and things to show for it.
We have a lot of things to show for it.
Please clarify which aspects you want me to highlight, and I shall.
