Not all of them. But many of them. Its the same in India, how many Journalist write about the extremist Hindus killing minorities at leisure? Everything is censored or has some sort of affiliation, whether dollars or political or religious affiliation. Don't act like you don't know, India may be ahead in Economy, its very similar in corruption and politics.

In India, there is strong nationalism, specially towards a Hindu focused organization like the BJP, so you won't see journalists writing about them out of religious affiliation. In Pakistan, its not that, its the opposite, journalists aren't that educated and stuff, $$$$ makes them write whatever you wanted to. When you see a "specialist" on economy writing about say decrease in export and identifying things which are impacted like cars, oil, chemicals, etc (just as example), and you know that these things are not exported, in fact these things are imported to begin with.....what does that tell you? The entire argument is wrong and written for other purposes or for money. Some of IK's propagandists like ARY and that buddy of his Lick-Man, who wants to be the Information Minister under IK, is actually a blackmailer, he used to make money by blackmailing industrialists about their drinking and women related issues or corruption. This is sad state of Pakistan's journalism. I'd guess about 70% of them are like this.

They don't even need to bribe with their own money, they have unlimited government budgets to run TV ads and offcourse an entire TV channel (PTV).

Let Ishaq Dar and blind followers of N League have orgasms about forex reserves while artificially maintaining the price of rupee. Even if lowering rupee's value has short term advantage, it should be given to exporters. On other hand this year's cotton crop is damaged to a whole new level. Expect exports and economy to not do any good even this year. Instead of giving relief to farmers, the lootiya rulers have just raised gas price for fertilizer plants which will result in higher fertilizer price for farmers. See PCGA's figure for cotton arrival, it is devastating compared to last year.

Who is "artificially" maintaining the price? Can you elaborate in simple English how a currency's value is determined in a case like Pakistan? I am almost 99% positive what you are going to respond with and that case will have no relevance to what I am asking for, but I am going to hold my tongue for later and let you come back and show me some facts. Let's see. Tell me:

1) What makes you think the Rupee is kept artificially low?
2) What is the process of determining a currency's value? (Keep Pakistan in mind)
3) What does a short tern advantage has to do with exporters and why should any advantage be given to the exporters.

The rupee depreciated beyond 104 per dollar in the interbank market, sliding after a Chinese currency devaluation two weeks ago sparked a regional selloff in emerging-market assets. Vietnam devalued last week, as did Kazakhstan in a switch to a free float. Pakistan had kept its currency at about 102 for six months before allowing this week’s retreat.

“Regional currencies were devalued so ours also followed the same path,” said Kamran Zia, head of foreign exchange at Silkbank Ltd., a lender in Karachi. “There was demand from exporters on the government to devalue,” which is why the central bank stopped intervening to support the rupee, he said.


The rupee declined 2.2 percent this week to 104.28 per dollar in Karachi on Tuesday, according to prices from local banks compiled by Bloomberg. That’s the lowest close since March 2014. It’s lost 2.4 percent since China’s Aug. 11 devaluation, compared with drops of 6.2 percent for Malaysia’s ringgit and 3.6 percent for India’s rupee.

Pakistan’s move comes before Finance Minister Ishaq Dar meets with officials on Aug. 28 to discuss ways to revive exports, which sank 17 percent from a year earlier in July, the steepest slide since March 2012. It will also boost costs for some 140,000 Pakistanis who are currently making plans to perform the Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca in September.

As far as crops are concerned, my family is a grower and relatives owns ginning factory. So your pinion on this matter is pure crap and bullshit as in your own terms.
