Geopolitics mate, Turkic world is far bigger than Europe

For some reason Central Asians are seen trustable allies since we didnt declare war on eachother.

Maybe education system, we all came from Central Asian steppes.

I see , cause i thought there are only a handful of central asians in turkey , i also read in wikipedia turkish people don't like them?

. .
Anyway , if you ask any iranian about armenia and azerbaijan , not the armenians and azeris within iran ,, they are clueless , and as far as the government is concerned they are both caucasian nations , azeris are muslims true but they practice a liberal islam , and armenians are orthodox christian for the sake of comparison..

Even after 70 years of communism, Azerbaijani Turks are Muslim. Comparing to crypto-Zardoshts in Iran. Islam is a politic tool in the hand of Iranians. Iranians are more liberal at the heart, but cant express themselves.

Well , communists banned religion(s) , they didn't kill the muslims for being muslim , that's not like what the arab muslims did to the zartushti in iran...

Iranians aren't liberal , liberal is when you look at someone's wife and he only gets slightly aggitated like in the west. and they can express themselves , just not so well in english.

A recent poll showed people of Azerbaijan consider religion as one of least important matters in their life.According to a survey, the role of religion in people's life, for example in Iran, was about 80%,and in Azerbaijan 21%.
I know that's unbelievable, but after 70 years of fighting with 'God' in Soviet union, you should feel some difference after all. This is,more or less, true for other central Asians.
But Azerbaijan is exception, I don't know what they have done in fighting religion this way.

One other interesting fact:Turkish people are more religious than Iranians.
Unfortunately,I couldn't find the link for survey after searching,I will put it here as soon as I find it.

PS: I found it:

What Alabamians and Iranians Have in Common

If you ask them they will say they're religious of course :D but in fact many of these who says they're religious only become muslims in Ramadan and eids(many of them not even cares about fasting or eid prayers), oh they also say Bismillah before eating something and don't eat pork, thats all the relation they have with religion :D

I've encountered quite some Turks in my lifetime, and based on my experiences, Turks are more religious than Iranians.

I met some of them in Saudi Arabia.I couldn't believe they knew and liked Iran that much. One of them was reading Hafiz,Molana and other Persian poems for me,I was very surprised,he knew too much. One of them, after I said I'm from Iran, started telling me something in Turkish while excited,I couldn't understand, but my friend who understood said he is telling about his travel to Iran and how great time it was for him.
I don't know if they were from another planet or Turkish members here are from another planet, because they don't like Iran by any means.:D

Comparing to Iranians, Turks are generally more religious and can be hyper-nationalist at the same time. Most of the Iranians I have met were quite irreligious and inward looking people. I always felt myself quite comfortable among Turks because just like Pakistanis they are very friendly and cheerful people.

I've visited Morocco a couple of years ago and when I was searching for a place to eat, I came across a Turkish kebab store in Casablanca. The owner of it was a Turk, and some men sat in front of it drinking tea. They were Turks too, and of them was an Iranian Azeri from Tabriz, selling Persian carpets too rich Moroccans. To my surprise one of the Turks was really positive about Iran, and the regime, and he wished to live in Iran one day.

I've visited Turkey three times, and most Turks there know Ahmadinejad, and even Khomeini. Based on my interpretations they see Iran as a strong and independent country standing up against Israel and the US. Others see Iran simply as a extremist country, and as a example how secularism was crushed by Islamic fundamentalism. But not once in my lifetime I encountered Turks who hated Iran or the Iranian people.
