Thats not a multi-dimensional poverty report that you were talking about earlier.

This report talks about small consumer goods (and the high growth makes sense given Bangladesh low per capita base like India's was in the 90s)...It doesnt include industrial items like we were talking (Appliances, TVs, Cars, Steel, Cement, Energy)...and I want actual production/consumption per capita....not growth rate. If you are producing 1 car a year and next year you produce 2....means you got a 100% growth rate....but does it matter really?

Read it properly smarty pant.

Read it properly smarty pant.

There are no numbers there other than growth rates of low price consumer goods (not durable white goods).

I want something more updated than this:

http://www.jica.go.jp/bangladesh/bangland/en/report/529.html

Bangladesh was clearly behind back then:

Updated figures for India:

http://economictimes.indiatimes.com...rator-plant-in-india/articleshow/52301740.cms

market for televisions is about 10 million units annually, while for refrigerators it is more than 11 million.

Thats the sort of article I want, cold hard numbers on the units of industrial items you are consuming.

Not fluffy airy growth rates of shampoo, soap and baby food given you are consuming next to nothing to start with.

GDP Annual Growth Rate in Myanmar is expected to be 6.80 percent by the end of this quarter, according to Trading Economics global macro models and analysts expectations. In the long-term, the Myanmar GDP Annual Growth Rate is projected to trend around 7.90 percent in 2020, according to our econometric models.
It all about 60 billion. and Bangladeshi Growth is 170 billion.

Myanmar,a country three times poor than Bangladesh is dreaming of invading Chittagong. The GDP of Chittagong alone is almost equal to the whole Myanmar.
3 time poor..? LOL
eg
GDP of Sri Lankar - USD $ 80 B
GDP of BD - USD $ over 200 B
it means BD is 3 time richer than Sri lankar... ?
Nope.. their per capita income is USD 3818.....
while BD's around USD 1500..... tell me who is richer... ? LOL
Go and fill something good into your head...!! :D

Nonsense. :yahoo:

What a ridiculous statement.

i have study a lot abt Myanmar. Nothing has noasset . GDp growth is poor. So topics already has been covered.

GDP growth has outpaced Bangladesh for atleast 5 years.

Only 67%

or less

U need to do study abt them. By the way why Indians are too much interested about Myanmar ?

By the way - what do u know about English ?

67% eh?

MM growth rate is not sustainable. It will take some time before making actual judgement about their economy. A lot of people were betting on their natural resources which I dont think as much as it buzzed from outside. Commodity based growth probably a thing of the past.

o_O Are you sure about that? The consensus is that cheap, unskilled, low-wage sweatshop labour is the thing of the past. Automation is making it obsolete. Commodities, on the other hand, have been in a bull market for over 15 years.
