Onion sale in India causes Groupon website to crash

So what's caused the problem this time? Shortage or is it purely currency related?

it cant be currency related due to the reason above ... and i gave the cause of shortage in same post.

coconuts aren't basic & most used commodity for every house hold in india nd its prices aren't hiking!! people in india cannt imagine food withouht onions....but withouht coconuts they can

for us north indians.....the green wala coconut is a rare delicacy

In south people have it almost every week.
