7 LCH Units , each with 10 Helicopters.

That is a total of 70 LCH for the eastern Command a.k.a China.

Designed especially to operate in the Higher ranges of the Himalayas.

22 Apaches in operations. 36 more awaiting orders. Total of 58 Apaches.

75 Weaponised Rudra , with 25 on order. Total of 100 ALH - MK 3

70+58+100 = 228 Attack Helicopters for now.

Future just got better.

Airforce orders for LCH is also coming. Over all will have 150-200 LCH in both services. 300+ overall attack helos coming in next 5-7 years.

It's really beautiful to see LCH in army colours.
Good special development focusing on the Himalayas of INDIA.
But still India should not depend on the Yanks nor the Russians in the heavy gunship field.
We must venture into the heavy maschine catagory on our own in the today's battle scenario specially owing to the fact that modern battle or war is faught souly on one's own effort .
Any suggestions on pilot projects regarding heavy gun ships and associated developments.

Besides the ATGM Nag must be more and more modernized to cater to the recent battle scenario.

The recent swarm technology is a very big threat to both ground based forces as well as flying objects and helos.

Deterance must be achieved through development of EMP based neutralization mechanisms.
Any info regarding the above matter please share.
