I understand that a good number of 'seniors' here are accomplished engineers and/or scientists. I'm looking for some advice on well known institutions offering graduate programs in aerospace or mechanical engineering--and requirements for gaining admission.

Thanks,

I'm mainly targeting Canada and Europe for MS, as their tuition fees is very low compared to USA, and perhaps PhD from USA later on.

Well, Canada isn't very cheap either.

By the way, France is also great for such subjects.

Compared to US, dirt cheap. None of them have tuition fees higher than 20k, and in UAlberta, it's 8K. And aid scene is also fare compared to US counterparts.

And France and Germany is quite reasonable, some universities in Germany doesn't charge any fees at all. But one has to apply via Uni-assist, and they're very good in mishandling documents. :D

Germany could have some of the best Aerospace programs. After all Germans are known for quality engineering

Im actually considering applying after gaining relevant experience in aerospace....which would be a good two-three years from now. I have my sights set on ivy league schools and a few schools in Germany. What I'm really interested in, is their cut-off requirements for considering my application.

Also, any information on available scholarships would be of tremendous help. I know I'm being vague but, honestly, its because i really dont know what to lock in on.......the world is my oyster ? :D

University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.

No.1 Public Sector Engineering University in Pakistan.

281 in World Engineering Universities.

61 in Asian Engineering Universities.

85 in Asian Natural Sciences Universities.

University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore

Are you interested dude? :D

*facepalm* Let me re-phrase......graduate programs outside south Asia , China, central Asia , Africa and eastern Europe.

To eliminate possible ambiguity......no, not Antarctica either.

For getting into Ivy Leagues, target a near perfect GRE score, and also a good score in GRE Subject tests in either Mathematics or Physics could prove to be valuable.

They ask for General GRE test , not subject test.

But when applying to Ivy Leagues, most candidates have near perfect GRE scores, hence you could differentiate yourself from the crowd by having a good score is subject test.

Ivy League admission is all about differentiation. Even a great GATE score could be a differentiating factor. By the way most top universities in US know about GATE.

not only gre score they ask for overall good profile- projects, seminars, college recommendation contribution in any scientific paper ,extra curricullar etc

Does work experience count as well ? I mean if it is in related fields, say for example, ISRO, DRDO etc....
