Am discussing out of academic interest. Photos of Bengalis ---Thread topic is a bit vague and involves discussions on a lot of subjects . Anyways most of the pics are of 1971 times and so its tangentially related.

I wouldn't want to depend on a single source , like Sharmila Bose( 30,000) or even Official Bangladesh official figures( 3 lacs)

But its worth noting that most "independent sources give the numbers as above one million --and official sources do not reflect this because many cases were brought to light much later. Anyways lets agree to differ on this.

Btw ; The Hamoodur Rahman commission was heavily criticized by Gen Niazi , ex general of the Pakistan armed forces , on glossing over the roles of four individuals --Gen Tikka Khan , Gen Rao Farman Ali Khan , Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and gen Yahya Khan . The former two rose to quite prominent positions in the Pakistan military in later years.

This illustrates the fact that the commission may have been biased in certain aspects.

If you want to build a mandir then build it else where, why does it have to be in public place?
