WASHINGTON — A U.S. official says an American military team’s initial assessment is that Iranian or Iranian-backed proxies used explosives to blow large holes in four ships anchored off the coast of the United Arab Emirates.

The official says each ship has a 5-to-10-foot hole in it, near or just below the water line. The U.S. military team assesses that the holes were caused by explosive charges.

The UAE asked the U.S. to help investigate the damage, which Gulf officials have characterized as sabotage.

The official was not authorized to discuss the investigation publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

The U.S. has warned ships that “Iran or its proxies” could be targeting maritime traffic in the region, and America has moved additional ships and aircraft into the region.

Something is odd about this incident: The tankers were empty, no one was injured or killed, no oil spillage or fire captured for this incident, and no eye witnesses.

If Iran was the one who conducted the attack, they wouldn't just pick 6 empty tankers randomly out of all of the ships traveling in the Persian Gulf and its surroundings.

It was most likely done by some entity who knew the tankers were empty, that didn't want to cause any damage to the crew, but wanted the massive publicity and what is about to follow. And it looks like the entities behind this attack are moving on with their next plan.

This is false flag.

Gulf of Tonkin incident

The Gulf of Tonkin incident (Vietnamese: Sự kiện Vịnh Bắc Bộ), also known as the USS Maddox incident, was an international confrontation that led to the United Statesengaging more directly in the Vietnam War. It involved either one or two separate confrontations involving North Vietnam and the United States in the waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. The original American report blamed North Vietnam for both incidents, but eventually became very controversial with widespread belief that at least one, and possibly both incidents were false, and possibly deliberately so. On August 2, 1964, the destroyer USS Maddox, while performing a signals intelligence patrol as part of DESOTOoperations, was pursued by three North Vietnamese Navy torpedo boats of the 135th Torpedo Squadron.[1][5] Maddox fired three warning shots and the North Vietnamese boats then attacked with torpedoes and machine gun fire.[5] Maddox expended over 280 3-inch (76.2 mm) and 5-inch (127 mm) shells in a sea battle. One U.S. aircraft was damaged, three North Vietnamese torpedo boats were damaged, and four North Vietnamese sailors were killed, with six more wounded. There were no U.S. casualties.[6]Maddox "was unscathed except for a single bullet hole from a Vietnamese machine gun round."[5]

They don't even try to make their false flags convincing anymore. They just go through the motions now :coffee:

.
Well I heard the USA assessment was something like "Iran is primary suspect and it looks like the handiwork of Iran or one of its proxy but we don't have any evidence and can't prove that" I wonder how the article become so conclusive.

False flag for the history books. If you look at Fujairah; it is way out of reach of Iran. How does the US propose Iran got there? Or probably the US is alluding to internal dissent within the Gulf States? The GCC won't like where this is going.

.
This certainly reminds me year 2002 when they begun preparing Iraq war, and something what world economy doesn't need, but I guess US has money to burn.
