Offensive name for Indian!

I never thought some Pakistanis don't want Indians to be called Indians. The name India/Indians is, in their view, is stolen by us.., the HINDOOS, an Archenemy, so they call us bhartis!

O.K. What's mean by bhartis? (Note.., no capitalisation of the first letter) Oh, they read MahaBharat more than us.. lol! Ever we Indians call ourselves bhartis?

Only most hostile members use the term. Why don't we declare bharti is an offensive word like PAKIS and demonstrate against usage of the term in this forum?

(Question is not only for INDIANs, but also for SENSIBLE PAKISTANIS... not PAKIs)

Bharti is wrong spelling to Bharati same as typing Pakistani as Pkistani

Anyway,Someone calling me Bharatiya or Bharati makes me feel more respected than being called an Indian. I consider it as a token of respect ,as addressing me being part of Bharatvarsha,probably the first Indian empire.

But its not India's official name ( You can call Bharat, India, Hindustan)

If not then why not using other county name in urdu language ????


In hindi we are calling Chinese people as Chini people but they considered this as resist word so is this alright ????

its completely ok to use bharati as it refers bharat or india, and bharti means indian...

What else can we call a Bharati except Bharati. Like Bharati can only be called as a Bharati. If we don't call Bharati as Bharati, then what should we call them. Even more important whom we call as Bharati if Bharatis are not Bharati. And if Bharati are not Bharatis then who are they. And why Bharati is offensive when they live in Bharat and it makes sense to call them Bharati. And if Bharati govt don't consider it as offensive then why some Bharatis consider it as offensive. Surely some Bharatis don't make sense.
