Anyone else ever had what people call an "out of body experience". I used to have it quite often as a child, and at one point it got so bad that I used to hate falling asleep.
You basically feel weightless, and u can sorta see yourself sleeping, lying on the bed. At first I used to hate that feeling. I would feel weighless, and my body seemed like it was just floating around the house/hostel. I would have the sensation of bumping my head on the ceiling and in the doorways. Gradually I started training my brain for it, and I could maneuver myself around, it actually got pretty cool after a while, except for the seeing you body lying on the bed, that bit always used to spook me out.
I used to think I was a freak, but now the internet tell me that apparently there a lot of people who have these experiences.

I have often tried using the sleep paralysis technique to practice lucid dreaming. Its starts slow at first, you wake up if you try to change the dream too much and you get also wake up if you are afraid of waking up. Usually it lasts for only 4-5 minutes, but these days i have been able to keep it for 10 minutes at an end. Conjuring up small things once or twice even able bring up any human character i wished, but i believe it requires practice like anything else.
