Here's an interesting story. Obama staying at the Chanakya Suite at the Maurya hotel. Surely a good story for conspiracy theorists; maybe even a RAW ploy!
Obama staying at Chanakya Suite in ITC Maurya
New Delhi: One of the capital's iconic hotels, ITC Maurya is hosting US President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama. The Maurya Sheraton Hotel, which is now under secret service lock down, is Obama's home in New Delhi. He is staying on the 14th floor at the Chanakya Grand Presidential Suite, the jewel in Maurya's crown.
It's spotless hallways open up to many corridors of contemporary luxury. It has multiple rooms, a sink in bath with mother of pearl art and even a massive rain shower to blast away the worries of a global leader.
But away from its fluffy beds and plush sofas, the suite is a hub for serious business. It also has a summit or intelligent room where Obama can talk to his men from a multi-seater conference table that is complete with numerous LCD screens, fancy gadgets, many buttons and instant connectivity from Delhi to Detroit.
Surrounded by bullet proof glass and surveillance at every inch, the Maurya's Presidential Suite is hosting its fourth American President after Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and George W Bush.
