Bro, first of all, i would like to apologize for the type of disgusting species that you been dealing with which was created by the colonial HK government, a special species that has no identity, no shame, no dignity to start with=the decendants of the criminal viets "boat people" from the 70's that no country will take due to their criminal record.

Unfortunately, we got stuck with them for decades which plaque us with organized crimes like robbery, human trafficking, drugs dealing. prostitution etc. since they knew very well their viet identity will be like a curse to the people HK so they have a habit of pretending to be a Chinese instead, like go to those free public school, learn a few words of Chinese, change their Vietnamese last name to Chinese last name etc etc, nowadays you could hardly tell by their appearance or the way they talk that they're no Chinese or perhaps you will never found out until they shown nature born criminal behavior like cheating, lying, bragging in the public especially in forums to pretend as a so-called open minded Chinese to bash China and Chinese to satisfy his built in anti-Chinese agenda.
People especially our Chinese brothers, need to open your eyes, don't get fool or frustrated by those low life species evil tricks.

Why are the Chinese government not excited? Is it because China already has spies and have no need for a person like Snowden?

There are many reason why chinese government are not excited.

1.) He is NSA Contractor, so he is not top of the food chain, he is just a liaison with Private sector (Telco Company, hence he know about the wire tab). He is INSULATED. He does not have any useful information to tell the Chinese beside "you are being watch" which you don't actually need Snowden to figure out. All the "Intel" pass thru his desk should be encrypted so he would not know who that who is being watch or where is being watch.

It would be a different story if the CIA station chief in China have deflected, then China may raise a finger

2.) Allowing Snowden to stay in China would mean a certain damage of US-Chinese relationship. Which is very much a co-dependent economic and politic relationship that require China to stay focus on US-Chinese Trade. With that damage, that would also damage the trading between US and China, which is a lot of money if you don't know about. And all that would be to trade with a not so-valued Snowden, which simply not worth it

3.) Snowden is an Ex-Company man, Chinese have no idea why he did what he do and what is the intention? He could be using his expertise to conduct espionage in China, and there are no way to find out if he is actually sill working for CIA. Something does not add up when a person who is earning 200G with a Community College Degree and throw it all out for some "Backstreet Justice"?? You do the maths

4.) Keeping Snowden in China will expose Chinese's own Censorship scheme, you can't get away of the spotlight to invite a person who famous for exposing Surveillance scandal in US and not talk about or compare them to China. Everyday Chinese will ask why you keep a person who is saying "Spying on your own people" is not right, and yet why our government are doing it.

5.) He already said he does not want to go to China, and he literally compare the stuff that the PRISM Program to Chinese censorship to monitor their Citizens, why would he want to go to China the first place? So he can once again experience the core reason why he left America in the first place??

So he is not interested in China and China is not interested in Snowden

The only reason why people here even lift a finger simply because he expose the US PRISM Program and hence the US lose face. That's why people are jumping up and down here, without this reason, there would be no excitement and Chinese Government don't operate on Shaming US government, so it's only natural the Chinese government are not excited

I apologise for my Chinese Brethren, if this piece of news get you overly excited too, they don't get these kind of news often, so they don't know this kind of news will do more damage to China then good
