He identifies as "Indian" as per his own words. He rejects the identity of "Pakistani" beyond it being his place of birth.All that doesn't make him Indian. He is just a Pakistani version of Arundhati Roy.
He can call himself a Samurai warrior for all I care. None of that makes him Indian.
If he says he's Indian, regardless of his citizenship, that is at least regarded to be how he identifies himself.
I'm born in UK but identify as British-Pakistani.
The title is not misleading for this thread. It is an accurate reflection of Tarek Fatah's known citizenship and how he chooses to identify in his own words.
India needs to deal with their son.
P.s. we will take Roy happily. Why are Indians ashamed to take Fatah all of a sudden?
