What's new

Now Even Britain want to be part of CPEC - Official

. . .
Fantastic news:victory:. This is a huge development and will encourage more European countries to join CPEC... Just wondering we are very isolated:coffee:

. .
What people are not Understanding that more Countries Joining the CPEC means that Any future attack by Any country will be attack on their Investments , Chinese already keen to Deploy Warships in Gwader , so i doubt any country within our region or outside the region will dare to take any Military misadventure against us .. better Economy means better and well Equipped Army , Educated Youth , Jon Opportunities and infrastructure development will decrease the Insurgency too ..

what my only fear is that, as Afghans are completely Against us , and so as India .. US will bend towards this new Axis of India-Afghanistan-US create issues in Baluchistan or Provide cover for TTP and other terrorist Organization .. ISIS is already dangling in Afghanistan, and they will be used as pawns of Indian/US to create unrest in Pakistan ... What i am seeing and i hope that i am wrong that , there can be a limited conflict in this region most probably in Pakistan .. which involve many Regional and World powers ..

.
i am astonished that what is luring them towards CPEC, earlier Afghanistan, Russia, and now Britain; we need to take special care without jeopardizing the safety and security of our country at any level

some for access to Gawadar for trade, others to setup industries along CPEC, industries that will user parts/material from China to manufacture/assemble closer to Gawadar for Export to EU/US.

.
Pakistan must take advantage from Britain in health and education. This is foremost important for Pakistan to have a world standard education system available for every child and also world class health system for everyone.
Having experienced our supposedly "world standard" education system I'd have to disagree.

Boris wants UK firms part of CPEC activities

LAHORE: Britain Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Boris Johnson has termed the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) a wonder project and desires UK firms to participate in its various construction activities.

“I am very excited about the CPEC idea. And I would like UK firms to participate in the construction of this fabulous venture,” Mr Johnson said while speaking to students and faculty of the Government College University (GCU) here on Friday. “But this should be part of an even more ambitious vision that would revive the ancient Silk route and see the rebirth of trading caravans connecting East and West,” he added.

On a day-long visit to Lahore as a part of his ongoing tour to Pakistan, Mr Johnson said Karachi was even bigger than Lahore with 23 million people, the 6th largest city in the world. “History and location suggest that Karachi should be one of Asia’s biggest trading entrepot alongside Singapore or Shanghai.

“The only way to achieve that goal is closer economic integration. And I believe that Britain can play a part in helping you to realise this vision,” he said.Appreciating development in various sectors, the British foreign secretary said Pakistan had made a huge progress in recent past. “National security has improved and democracy strengthened. This civilian government took over from another civilian government in a manner that was peaceful and constitutional. But, of course, we all know that Pakistani citizens continue to face a grave threat from terrorism. He said he felt that as a result, this nation’s ambition had too often been held back by rivalry and mistrust. And coming here today, and talking to people, I am increasingly confident and that this will change. “My message to you all is that Britain wants to be with you to make this journey. I believe that bilateral trade between our two countries – just £2.7 billion – is not enough given our closeness,” he said.

Mr Johnson said one reason why he was in favour of leaving the EU was that he wanted Britain to widen the horizons of our foreign policy and reinforce our ties with our friends across the world, including Pakistan. “We are not leaving Europe. We will always be part of Europe. I want a global Britain to play an even stronger role on the world stage, maximising our assets as the fifth biggest economy in the world and a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council,” he said. The British secretary of state said next year he looks forward to celebrating Pakistan’s 70th anniversary of independence. There is a huge interest in the British Parliament and government in making our relationship even closer. “I want a much more dynamic relationship. And I am excited by the opportunities created by trade and commerce, which should be the central pillars of our friendship, as befits Pakistan’s location at the heart of Asia,” he said.

Earlier, the GCU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Hassan Amir Shah welcomed Mr Johnson, took him to a tour of the campus and apprised him about the traditions and excellence of 153 years old educational institution and its role in development of Pakistan.

Do you know now, why CPEC is a pain in Indian arse? Route through Kashmir is just a lame excuse. Indians know very well a successful CPEC will work wonders for Pakistan and has the potential to cast a gloomy shadow on much hyped "India shining".

This is Pakistan's chance to ride the high waves of economic development and progress. Every sane Pakistani should only think of one thing now and reject all politicians calls for spreading unrest and turmoil in the country. / more years and Pakistan will be the leading economic power in SE Asia.

India never really had any demands for that region pre-2000s. Look it up... you will find no credible references for it.

The Indians just had an epiphany after primarily Gwadar and now CPEC came on the scene.... Of course! It isn't about Kashmir... it can't be. They are shelling and sniping the very people the claim to have a claim over...

Of course... it all about CPEC potential to change the paradigm in pakistan's favour. The hindutva cannot digest that. They havent gotten over the scars of partition and our 1000 year rule over them!

:)

Not to mention the subtle geo-political victory over USA by getting access to the warm waters of Arabian sea through Gawadar and enhancing better economic and military relationship with one of US's very old and reliable ally, while the Us is being slowly shunned by Pakistan for their loud mouth thanklessness.

That WILL happen but will take a lot of time. It will be long bumpy road ahead with many setbacks along the way. But we WILL eventually get to our destination. Please leave india out of this. They have got absolutely nothing to do with us and are a threat to our race and nation. By the same token, I can argue that it is "unfortunate that the Somalians and Eskimos havn't seen the benefits of CPEC yet".

that's why I said it is unfortunate. Like it or not, India is a huge market, Pakistan with gwadar port and later the new manufacturing jobs around it, can certainly benefit from India market. So can india benefit from a new prosperous Pakistan. That's the beauty of the trade, there is enough pie for every one if you do it right. I mean even China trade with Japan, and consider the bad blood between them. Pity really, and India's hostile attitude towards CPEC certainly didn't help either.

Don't care about the indian market. They are an existential threat to Pakistan and always will be. We can easily find alternatives. The survival and security of our nation and race is far more important than a few indian dollars.

. How about UK first stops using its land being used for spreading terror in our biggest city. They can start off by reinitiating our toads trial and stop their nefarious designs for our coastal areas.

After Brexit, I think there is a change in the policy about MQM-RAW nexus in UK..

They freed MQM-RAW nexus in the court of Law to not malign their countries reputation at a time when UK call itself as a key player in fight against Terrorism.
but they are tightening their nose and forcing them to leave country, that's why lots of MQM member are now in USA.

Ch. Nisar going after them and that is the reason Ch. Nisar visiting UK and meeting with UK officials in Pakistan frequently.
