At some point of time, China would start looking at India (assuming it hasn't already) without Pakistan in mind, with economies growing at a pace they are. I'm not saying today but definitely in a decade or so for sure. They way China manages its foreign policy giving great and utmost importance to protecting its trade and business interests, it is difficult to imagine it dealing with India independently.
Of late a lot of articles, analysis have started appearing (especially after POTUS visit) indicating a radical shift in policy of bigger powers like US and China courting India at the expense of Pakistan. This IMHO isn't true. They have started to treat/deal India without any pre-notions in mind and you would expect that for a responsible democracy. I don't think China or US or traditional allies would desert Pakistan at expense of India, but in future in all possibility there would be a complete de-hyphenation of Indo-Pak policies.
& i do hope (for our western neighbors) that this separation and treating Pakistan on its merits rather than as a counter agent to any society would be the right course of action in world politics.
