Way to go and seriously f**k cricket...Cricket obsession distanced South Asians from other sports

I hope GoI focuses more on football...folks from NE, WB and South are fairly good at it

This sports complex is great, but what we really need is local level pitches for kids and adults alike in local areas. The UK is covered in places like this...

Just goal posts, some paint and some grass.

No other facilities, no benches, no changing rooms, maybe lights for night time. Mow the grass a few times a year, and the rest, just let people come and play.

In the cities where there is less space, we have places like this.

I grew up in an central area of the city and we had one of these nearby with only 2 pitches. We had another one a little further away with only 1 pitch. We had 3 small parks, one was barely 200m wide, and it had 1 set of goal posts. The other local parks both had a few pitches on them. All these were within a 10-15 minute walk from my house. And this was in a busy inner city area.
