I know one thing that keeps people posting is the flamewars going on, but is that what you want on Defence.pk or what keeps people continuing to post.

The stickied threads in particular are very vulnerable for such flamewars and I believe it's necessary to have a dictator MOD to manage these.

One who simply deletes messages and even bans people on a whim (so to speak). One way or another it's better than allowing a flamewar until the MOD decides to close the thread.

And today I noticed that one of the stickied threads.
Turkey's acquisition of HQ-9 Air Defense System | Updates & Discussion | Page 46 | Pakistan Defence

Was closed, but no reason was given. The tender/deal is still in the news, and considering that no one has posted a decent article since the flamewar started could be considered proof that people stay away because of lacking mod presence in the thread.

I'm disappointed in how the mod has chosen to solve the issue

Dear@Saithan,

that thread wasn't closed as it was derailed by off-topic posts. We can't act like "dictators to order the description of peace upon your thoughts. Thanks.
