Not a Single Unit of Honda Civic Sold during March 2023 in Pakistan

Honda Civic was discontinued in India a while back because of poor sales. At least in India, Honda has been arrogantly over pricing their cars without providing commensurate features and steadily been losing market share.

What people are willing to pay for cars in Pakistan is baffling! Back in the early 2000s, I met some Auto Execs from Korea visiting PK, who expressed shock that the kits that were being assembled and sold as the latest models were at least 5-7 years old. The automotive industry is getting a much needed albeit painful wake-up call!

Most of Kashmir has already been freed. Just Muzaffarabad, Mirpur, Gilgit Batlistan and parts of Poonch remain. If Pakistan agrees to a plebiscite there, those will also be freed. Otherwise another war will be needed.

Scooties/scooters are not preferred in Pakistan for a number of reasons.

Maybe, they have good utilitarian value, ideal for short distances but here motorcyles in cities and towns are used for going to place of work like 22 kms to the office and back, thats 44 kms total.


Scooties are handy though, bikes/motorcylces higher speed is needed to match with rest of the traffic.

In bylanes and inner mohalla rds, shorter distances scooties comes in handy.

And yes there are hardly any women riding bikes and scooties can be good for them. In India women driving scooties are a common sight.



And there is overproduction of motorcyles in Pakistan looks as though, exporting to Afghan, Sri Lanka and BD, African countries.

Atlas Group has achieved impressive export sales during the last six months as nearly 12,000 motorcycles have been exported along with additional auto parts worth around US$ 2 million.

According to the details issued by the group, the breakthrough reflects acceptability of Pakistan made auto parts products in the international markets.

Honda plant shutdown from march to June due to import restriction non availability of CKD kits and other parts. SUV even 1500 cc mileage is worst compare to Sedan and Honda mileage is the best

Obviously, scooties for daily use personal transport prefer toh yahan bi ni karte log.. unless on vacation. Delivery chains, food, amazon etc me chalti hai zyada.. or young college people or women. Scooties are also gearless now, no clutch and changing gears bs anymore, easier for the ladies.

I know, many Pk people have been taken by surprise upon visiting India and seeing women driving them.. its a good thing, you guys should also encourage it and empower them.. small steps. Think I saw some articles on a Pk woman biker (huge tourer even) going all over the place... but even small scooties can be very empowering. Start with ki within a 5 KM radius me women are bringing parcels/pizzas/food etc to people, for example. Overall positives hi hain, no -ves.

Very sad.. yaar, ye forum hi BC depress kar deta hai bandey ko sometimes.

I want India to be magnanimous and generous.. hum konse Switzerland type hain ? .. but jahan mutual benefit ka scope hai, un avenues ko to at least explore karna chahiye.

we have so much poverty here.. even our Indian friend @jamahir lives in some Bangalore slum and barely gets to eat.
