NK might be mad but SK are even worse. China should send a serious warning to the fat Kim. If China takes a step back Kim will be finished by US/Japan/SK in a couple of weeks. Maybe China should think about this. Who knows?

As THE responsible "Big Brother", China should IMO quietly syndicate a regime change in NK after Kim Jong il , to send in a ultra pro-China govt with Open Market Economy, making NK "a little China" thus, like Korea was in almost her entire history.

It'll be good for the livinghood of ordinary North Koreans as well, it's so sad to look at how NK people still live under such an extreame poverty plus cult-like political oppression. This is not only a problem of Korea as a whole but also a problem of China ultimately. The earlier China faces the problem and solves it, the better, instead of living in denial.

Given the tense situation in NK, it is not that inconceivable that some border guards have got nervous and trigger happy and shot these guys without taking time to properly identify them. This should not be overblown.

A regime change is not that easy even in the case of China to NK. Their army have their own persons that they are loyal to. If truly to follow through the best bet maybe through economic incentives.
