There's only so much we can do , and poor restrictive policies in the past . One of the things I dislike about Japan is that there are still some folks that believe in protective economic policy. Japan should have liberalized economic policy early on. What we are doing now should have been done in the late 80s.

Definitely , however, the ROKAF also has a potent force to retaliate ; and considering the state of DPRK's inventory, realistically can we expect them to resist ROKAF over 2 weeks ? I have little confidence on the abilities of the DPRKAF. Most of what you see in media are for show.

Japanese people must understand that the whole world is not an island. When nutcase countries like China and India are forced to adapt to the changing world, why not Japan, the first asian country to be Westernized?

To be honest the problem in Japanese politics is that there is yet a sense of old world mentality still especially among some older politicians, even older leaders of the zaibatsu.

These older folks , forgive me if I sound harsh, should just die off. And take their old school thinking with them.

I am and have time and time and again argued for Northeast Asian Integration. To some Japanese minds, especially the radical UyokinDantai, they would label me a China Loving traitor LOL, but the future is not in state to state individuality, the future lies in the singularity of states.

The future is in space and how can we do this if we remain focused or affixed in old world mentality.

sure, dprk uses aged mig-21's but i believe their army and navy are good and they must know enough to have good air-defense considering their own air force not being up to mark and considering that rokaf is not alone but any engagement will also bring in japan and usa.

dprk will also be helped by russia.

Most likely any conflict will remain limited between Pyongyang and Seoul. I doubt , seriously, the Russians, America , China or Japan would get involved.

Getting involved would cause a , pardon my French , clusterfukc....

Don't know who said it, but I guess it was American ambassador to Japan who landed in Washington following end of diplomatic relations between the two countries during WW2:

"The Japanese may have modern weapons, but their culture is still 2000 years old".

Hehehe, very true for the older generation ; the baby boomer gen and older, definitely.

There are even some Japanese older generation who actually believe that Japanese are racially superior blah blah blah. Stupid and clearly racist thinking.
