North Korea orders front-line troops into 'wartime state' after exchange of fire

Guys, didn't NK throw an ultimatium, threatening a total war if NK kept operating their speakers along DMZ. I believe the deadline is 5 PM (local time) today, 22 August 2015. What do you expect to see, a war or an empty threat from NK?

I hope its a war that way a world war will start resulting in a 2 front war against india and the annextion of Kalistan and the freedom of Kashmir

DPRK would always have upper hand due to it have nothing to loose & their thousands of WW2 era junk Artillery pointed towards Seoul.

Everybody with a little bit of knowledge of the Korean issue knows that this is obviously another bluff by the Kim regime. There has been hundreds/thousands such bluffs by the Kim Dynasty for over half a century now. if we are waiting for full war, then im afraid we will have to wait for a longggggggg time.

I dont even bother about talking N.Korea and its regime(its a joke, have other better things to talk about). Though i was surprise/shocked to see a delusional Iranian member here praise the N.Korean regime , saying he respects/admires them.

Then you are mistaken.
These type of losers resides everywhere. If they hate a entity called 'A' then they praise & support anyone who oppose 'A' if that opponent is Satan.
In Pakistan , their Moulvi issued fatwa even a Dog killed by US (NATO) is martyr but Pakistani Soldier killed by TTP are not considered martyr by those Mullahs.
Those people see Kim as brave opposer of western world so if he slaughter whole population of DPRK he would get praise from these people.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has ordered front-line military units to enter "a wartime state" after an exchange of fire with South Korea, his country's state-run Korean Central News Agency reported Friday.
The announcement, employing bellicose language typical of North Korea, adds to the edgy situation in the region.

The two sides traded artillery fire over their heavily fortified border on Thursday afternoon, according to the South Korean Defense Ministry.

Two shells came from the North Korean side, the ministry said, and South Korea fired dozens of shells in response.

No casualties were reported from the exchange of fire.

North Korea hasn't given a detailed account of events, but the KCNA report Friday accused South Korea of committing a "military provocation."

Kim presided over an emergency meeting of the North's Central Military Commission late Thursday, issuing an order that the army's "front-line large combined units" should "enter a wartime state to be fully battle ready to launch surprise operations," KCNA said.

He also ordered that "the area along the front be put in a semi-war state," according to the report. The measures are to take effect from 5 p.m. Friday local time.
