Two Dalit children were brutalised before being killed while defecating outside the farm of Yadavs in an MP village. These were their last 24 hours...

BY ROUNAK KUMAR GUNJAN

On the morning of September 25, two Dalit children, a 10-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl, were beaten to death for defecating outside a farmland. When News18 visited Madhya Pradesh's Bhavkhedi village, where this incident took place, we found not just a family mourning the death of its children but grieving over a systematic, oppressive assertion of caste that had left them brutalised and helpless.

News18 found that the deceased girl was forced to clean toilets in her school; that she was too scared to step out of her house for the fear of being molested by the same men who killed her later. We found the story of the deceased boy who saw his family suffer humiliation on a daily basis and who probably died trying to save the 12-year-old girl from the sexual predators that fateful morning.

After speaking to the family of the victims, class fellows, school teachers, panchayat members, community leaders, policemen and villagers, News18 has put together this account of the last 24 hours of the children who were brutally murdered.

Most Indians will not agree with you as they are either busy looking at Pakistan or Mars and Moon.

Maybe we should be busy looking at Pakistan too. A 14 year old kid in Larkana was sexually abused for 15 days by 6 men and then killed.

2 more stories like this not too far.

Remember the recent case where a girl in a burkha was raped and her body was thrown.

Here's another recent update: 5 Hindus from Hyderabad were extrajudicially abducted.

For god's sake, these things are not to bash others on. Pray, and then act; specially for your own people and country. Fucked up people exist everywhere.

But you're more fucked up to label others with a black and white brush when u have cases like this in your own land, and u just ignore them.

True every society has it's issues and weaknesses but do you know the difference between sexual predators and caste system.
And please avoid using offensive language.!!

the induans will push this news at the back and talk bout that they are supar powar nobody can challenge them.

I cannot comprehend it. I cannot begin to imagine the fear and the suffering. I don't care where these kids are from or who they are or their religion. It just destroys the soul of all mankind to hear that this is even possible against another human being.

This happens in every society we arent condemning the fact that these kids were abused because they were Indians, were condemning the fact that they were systematically targeted as that is deeply distrubing

How do we know they were systematically targeted and not by fucked up individuals.

Read the article.

-The daughter was oppressed to the point where she couldnt even leave her own home. At school she was forced to clean toilets and couldnt even use the same utensils as the other students were.

-They live in a house with no clean water or toilet

-Their family was denied financial aid repeatedly despite others in the village recieving it easily

-The father is denied steady work because of his caste

I cant even read past 10am, this sounds like hell on earth and for you to say that their caste had nothing to do with it is ridiculous

If they werent treated this way, they would have more money better living conditions, and a better life which would certainly have prevented them being made into pariahs and objects of disgust by the other villagers that led to this incident.

I understand what you're saying. But, the mindset here is beyond generalized depravity. There truly IS a systematised element when the same victims are constantly hounded, raped, murdered again and again, all done within the context of widespread posturing against and blaming of the victims' communities. Dalits and Muslims are victims of these weaponised sexual assaults, not just regular sexual assaults - these attacks, when taken in context are truly intended to subjugate communities , not just to fulfil perverted desires of rapists - there is frequently an element of excuse making for the rapists because of some perceived transgressions by the victim's community. If a Muslim minor is raped in a temple for days and then murdered, if Dalits are assaulted sexually and murdered, and civil society is either silent or outright supporting of the perpetrators...something more is going on than random rape by a sex predator. It is a form of honour crime and terrorism against minorities.

When that Muslim girl was raped, one of the first "points" raised to "mitigate" or "excuse" the rapist's actions was that of an apparent dispute with the whole tribe the girl came from over their movements through various territories. This is what Hutus and Tutsis were caught up in Rwanda - weaponised rape to attack a community, not just simple rape.

It is very much a crime of oppression, closer to a war crime than rape.

I think you're right. I hate to say it but you're right. Why do I hate to say it? Because it is fully understandable for some of our fellow pdf folks to effectively be in denial mode. I too wish I could pretend what you're saying is false, that I could rationalise these particular rapes as the same as any rapes in any societal framework...but I just can't.

It is an inescapable truth that this is malevolent design, not happenstance.

Honestly the daily routine of the young girls life alone makes my stomach turn, just imagine turning up to school and being forced to clean toilets, being forced to bring your own utensils because your unclean, and then being harassed by others in the village all day just because of your race

This is beyond Pakistan-India hostility, as a human being, this sort of medieval backwards treatment is frankly disgusting. Shame on those who promote this system, and shame on those turning a blind eye towards it.

Not surprising rss ideology for you. Hindus discriminate against other hindus. Modi has been clever in convincing dalits they are equal. Unfortunately dalits are easily devided.
