US produces 40% of its electricity through coal even to this day so save me the lecture on the environment.

We need electricity and we need to produce it anyway we can get.

Why isnt anyone looking into the distribution prob? Itnay engineers hain aywien walay hire em or get expert consultation to figure out how to fix it

What Pakistan lack is not the engineers, it's the leadership majority of your crown corporations are stuffed with political party members who aren't qualified for the jobs they hold.

Distribution can be upgraded by simply charging the end user "distribution charges". Bill collection which is also a big issue can be solved by selling pre paid power cards insert it into a smart meter use it once it runs out recharge at the store level or over the Internet. New distribution will simply make kunda system obsolete as wires are covered or underground and can't be simply hooked into .

If they go to the coal, they shouldn't have to buy it as their country has one of the largest coal reserves. Problem is, Pakistan will turn into another Shanghai, where for months, the carbon fog hinders the view of the sun at times.

Also, its a very slow process to convert everything over to coal. There is an entirely new infrastructure required for take coal to the plants, storage and all. I think they are working on it as they've been laser focused on expanding their railroad system. Which tells me the coal supply chain is in pipes.

LAHORE: Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) President Muhammad Adrees said on Saturday that exemption of the industrial sector from load shedding would help accelerate economic activities besides strengthening the national economy.

This is a great step actually. When everyone is making the $$$$, you could even afford a generator for your house if you really need to. What's the most important is, the wheel of Pakistan's economy has to turn and keep rolling. People will get jobs, more consumption, more taxes, more projects can be funded and more electricity can be generated interanally.

So businesses arent making money to get a generator but the poor awam is rich enough to get one?

I understand the need for businesses to keep rolling my question is why arent they fixing transmission? Where are they getting extra electricity to supply to businesses is it by making the awaam suffer? Seems like Awaaam is not a priority until its time to vote

THIS is a problem I have addressed in soo many threads but few contribute many are more interested in knowing which party I favour over what the real problem is and how to solve it!
