Look at the haphazard way in which precious assets of the Indian Navy - Kilo Class submarines are parked at cramped Mumbai Port.

Submarines are parked as if one would park fishing trawlers, side by side so that more submarines could be lost in case there is fire or explosions on any one of them.

Here is a Google maps image of the parked submarines, they are still there. No lessons have been learnt.

Not till dedicated berthing facilities come up, thank goodness for the go ahead for Seabird, lets hope more such projects will get executed, specially for the Arihants which will need submarine pens (in fact a dedicated facility as such is required) and attendant infra that is required when you shoehorn a nuc reac in to a boat.

Like some of has said before....we are rarely proactive....always reactive.....when its too late. We have to change our mentality about the way we do things. Getting rid of Congress will help get rid of this mindset as long as MODI is in charge.
