Yes FATA must NOT be merged with KPK as the dynamics of KPK are totally different than FATA, in case of merger both will be ruined.
The following video around 12 min in,
news reporter shows there were NO electric meters
No meters on any house
no meters on any shop.
Man these guys had it easy.

no electric bill, that's one thing, but what about the taxes? Did Pakistan gov't ever collected even a single rupee in sales or property tax from the tribals? What about any income tax? lol, boy they really had it, or still have it, their way with Pakistan govt.
People love to throw around, gov't never took care of the FATA area and it's people or did any development, Uhh, why should they when people there don't pay any taxes.
When do you think FATA will be made new province or merged with KPK? Hardly anyone talk about this outside forums.
Well said.
No car registration either.
Oh and Jinnah told them not to pay car registration, water bill, electric bill, property taxes etc etc NOT!
It is all badmashi going on in FATA. I remember my cousin used to tell me in 90s how Wapda meter readers and employees hired for bill recovery were beaten in FATA. And people here talk about high level of "hospitality" in those areas

Seems l'm wrong about the quaid-e-azam agreement thing.. sorry.
Btw, according to news sources, they only get it for a few hours daily.. 3/4 from what i've read in the reports..
Govt has been trying to work something up so that the tribals start coughing up money.. i guess they can start right after the operation
Does it still matter what verbal agreement FATA had with Jinnah? It was a different world back then. We nullify it and reintegrate FATA into the nation. That includes giving up their special status but also equal rights as any other Pakistani.

It was a written agreement but anyways, agreements can be made null and void.. We need a differemt mechanism to rule FATA.. maybe change it into a province

Didn't you watch the video?
Agreed with your point. It was a written agreement but anyways, agreements can be made null and void.. We need a differemt mechanism to rule FATA.. maybe change it into a province
FATA is not any kind of wild place that is ingovernable as machos like imran khan try to portray it. In neighboring afghanistan the provinces like Paktia, khost and paktika are inhabited exactly by the similar karlani pashtun tribes and all these provinces are treated just as any other settled provinces of afghanistan. If it can be done in afghanistan to implement normal laws on tribal pashtun areas of paktia, khost and paktika then why cannot it be done in pakistan.
