No contract yet exists even in its draft form on the delivery of Russia’s S-400 antiaircraft missile systems to India, Kremlin aide for military and technical cooperation Vladimir Kozhin said on Thursday.

“So far, there are neither deadlines nor a draft contract,” he said in reply to the corresponding question.Indian Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar announced last week the country’s Defense Acquisition Council had approved the purchase of five S-400 Triumf antiaircraft missile systems planned to become operational with the Indian Armed Forces in 2017-2022.

Deputy Director of Russia’s Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation Vladimir Drozhzhov told the media in late March this year that Russia had prepared a draft agreement on the delivery of S-400 systems and transferred it to Indian partners for signing.

The S-400 Triumf is the newest long-range antiaircraft missile system that went into service in 2007.

It is designed to destroy aircraft, cruise and ballistic missiles, including medium-range missiles, and can also be used against ground objectives.

The S-400 can engage targets at a distance of 400 km and at an altitude of up to 30 km.

Because contract yet to be signed

Author has no idea using catch phases

As for the article itself states

"Deputy Director of Russia’s Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation Vladimir Drozhzhov told the media in late March this year that Russia had prepared a draft agreement on the delivery of S-400 systems and transferred it to Indian partners for signing".

So far media is still in loop

Yesterday it was reported

Oh no...
Pakistani Nuclear arsenal has been neutralized, and PAF banished to Afghanistan.

On serious note , Pakistan should keep working on remedial actions when and if India gets hold of any reliable ABM or High altitude long range SAM.

BJP is west leaning government. No major systems would be procured from Russia as long as BJP is in power.

Guys lets be very honest about one thing here(indian and pakistan) what will happen if we go to war a full fledged nuclear war. The world will not only loss quarter of its population but also the two countries who have done so much for their economy through weapon purchase. War is a horrible idea. what we should have done that instead of both countries spending 60+ billion dollars annually on mere hatred must have done something good for there people. In india farmers commit sucide and in pakistan people jump in front of trains just because they cant feed their loved ones. you know what poverty, corruption and this fucking hate is the true war that we are fighting everyday of our lives. give me one good reason that we should hate each other. We have survived for almost 8 centuries together fought a common enemy i.e British. But now we want to kill each and everyone. We both haven't done shit in this world not a single thing to improve the life of ordinary people of our country

Totally agree.

We shouldn't compare this deal with the tejas because tejas is an 'indigenous' project and hence the progress was very slow whereas this deal is just giving the $$$ and enjoying the S400.
Pakistan has to prepare itself for the next two decades in which India will keep on spending huge amounts on defence (read : offense).

Seriously India should buy S-400 so that our top brass also gets serious in upgrading PAF fleet and improving missile capabilities

India’s Reliance Defense announced that it has entered into a manufacturing and maintenance partnership with Russian Almaz-Antey, manufacturer of the S-400 air defense missile system.

The agreement will focus on radars and automated control systems as areas of partnership for the air defense missile systems, S-400 as well as offset policies of the Indian Ministry of Defense, Reliance said in a statement Thursday.

“Working with Reliance Defence will help us develop new directions for both Companies to address future requirements of the Indian Armed Forces," Vice-Chairman of AlmazAntey V F Medovnikov said.
