No care taker gov. for next election says Hasina

If election held under take care gov then who will decide about them ???

.
How did you manage to come to that conclusion? In reality elections are held under incumbent govt's tenure in most of the established & renowned democracies around the world.
Then again... they also have an established independent election commission which conducts free & fair elections!

If election held under take care gov then who will decide about them ???

The courts of Bangladesh are controlled by the government.

. .
what about the election commission? don't BD have one?

Yes, under the legal framework of Bangladesh. Whenever a political party comes to power in Bangladesh, the courts are controlled by that administration.

That was why the caretaker government concept was conjured up in the first place. And caretaker government members have no political affiliations.

You'd wonder why hartals still exist 41 years on

ya.. but normally elections are conducted by election commissions.. free of any court intervenions! unless the system in BD encourages the courts to interfere in elections or election commissions are not free from ruling govt & courts!!

Unfortunately, that is the reality here.

The question is credibility. Please, have a look at Amnesty's recent report on human rights in Bangladesh under the current administration.

Or in other words, a very recent picture:
bleeding-investor-in-bangladesh.jpg

An elderly investor, losing all the money he had to invest in the market, is photographed bleeding after being brutalized by the cops in the capital’s Motijheel area as he was taking part in a protest against the government’s inaction.

A picture can explain a thousand words.

.
This is against all norms of democracy, people may opt to cut off ties with Bangladesh as they may not recognize AL as a legitimate government.

I see no such sign...Saudi is silent on diplomatic murder issue, USA is silent because they might need this bal govt. in future. Whole the world should now show some sign of distrust to this regime.

Let's not jump into conclusions too quickly.

If this government under Hasina fails to work toward any sort of credibility, it'll fall itself. One way or another.

And if the Indians insist on siding with Hasina, well then that's their issue which will ultimately harm their interests in Bangladesh.

apart from usual rants about RAW controlled BAl govt etc, u should know a diplomatically tactful country like India would never put their eggs in one basket. This is simple practical thinking.

...Either way we must suffer, BD will suffer. Why don't we just wake up ???

Majority of govt dont conduct elections under a caretaker system...
I dont see whats the problem now...
According to me caretaker system is a waste of time and money...
The election commission if given more powers can do a commendable job...
Election commission in india is doing a great job...

lol why the hell do you fire of with your key board if you don't know a $hit about the subject. Is it
intentional ignorance of shameless arrogance? It was BAL who did strikes, vandalism, and
killing in the name of protest to implement this caretaker system in 1995 when BNP was in power.
These BAL hypocrites were the champions of neutral CT this system. All parliamentary elections in BD since 1996 were held under CT system.BD was the pioneer of this
system and was praised by the so called secular democracies of the west including US. But now
when BAL has got a overwhelming majority, they abolished the CT which it self goes
against
the constitution. The intention is obvious and that is vote rigging. They can't come to power any
other way. Hillary clinton and even your P.mukerji said that the election should be participated by
all parties otherwise it won't be recognized by Intl community. Apart from BAL and the former
perverted dictator ershad, all other parties want CT and its the people's demand at the moment.
BNP won't participate in some kind of farce election under BAL and without the one of the major
parties participation, the election will hold no value. Off course SH understands all this very well
but she is a autocrat dictator and don't seem to care even if the country goes to hell in the process.

what about the election commission? don't BD have one?

Election commission in BD are suppose to hold parliamentary elections under direction of a CT gov
whose only constitutional obligation is to hold a free and fair election with 3 months of the end of
tenure if the elected gov. But BAL abolished this CT system going against the constitution and the
mass aspirations of the people. Bangladeshis don't trust any political parties to hold free and fair
election and that's why the CT system was pioneered. The EC under this current BAL dalals is
corrupt to the core and is an extension of BAL. They have not hold the scheduled Dhaka city
corporation election yet under direction of the gov and BAL has already ousted the elected mayor
of dhaka and divided the city. DO you expect any kind of fair election under this kind of EC?

As if you know better

It's a crime to be weak.

Because Hasina will rigg the election. Bangladeshi politics isn't mature enough to hold fair election under previous government. So to be casious, bangladesh neeeds caretaker government. I think I read somewhere that Pakistan also going to have caretaker government for their election.

.
There will be no election without CTG or in some other name. Main point is it must be neutral body and Al must step down before election. There can not be fair poll under the control of thieves and thugs.
