Nirbhay cruise missile fails midway

As per reports there was two tests in a first test rocket motor fails and in a second test missile nose dived to crash waiting for credible sources to post complete story.

Here come the troll brigade with their superior tech and unblemished records.
Expect people to believe you have a fully functional system after not even testing it atleast 10 times

Failures are a part of a development process and those who say have never failed are just lying.

Tomahawk failed numerous times after continuously being tested and finally is a success story today.

Test fire: India's indigenous cruise missile Nirbhay fails midway
BHUBANESWAR: India's indigenous surface-to-surface cruise missile Nirbhay nose-dived midway after it test fired in Odisha on Friday.

According to Defence Research and Development Organisation ( DRDO) sources, the missile was launched from the Chandipur Integrated Test Range ( ITR) in Balasore district at 11.38 a.m.

Although the take off was successful amid repeated disruptions of countdown, the missile missed the target after 11 minutes after it was test fired, said the sourc ..

People dont laugh, Nirbhay was in super very stealth mighty mode when it dived and hugged the ground....this is india's next super weapon after LCA-22 Raptorness....:D
pakistanies are obsessed and paranoid with LCA :haha:

anyway there were two not one nirbhay tests one land based and another sub based the land based went like clockwork but there were problems in sub launched version :coffee:

:o:
you are comparing Tomhawk to nirbhay

Well, just coz you people are okay with not comparing with the best doesn't mean we can't.

Back in the day Tomahawk failed as much as 17 out of 32 times, so put your condescension back in your pocket.

Your sarcasm is applaudable

Thank you, it is also quite true.

From your own link

One of the Tactical Tomahawks had trouble deploying a wing, and a second had difficulty with the cover of an engine inlet, the Navy said in a statement to Bloomberg News. It blamed the failures on "assembly processes and quality of workmanship issues

Now from Indian link

A reliable source on Wednesday told this paper that the fuel tank which is used in the missile system has not cleared the Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) tests thus making it vulnerable during flight.

Not only this, it is still unclear whether the Nirbhay flight control software (NFCS) has undergone Independent Verification and Validation of software. Its fuel tank is yellow banded after the ESS tests, which means it should not be used for actual trial. They have also skipped doing any vibration of it for the fear of failure of any welded joints,” the source informed.

Though the missile is meant for low flight, if the sources are to be believed, this time too low manoeuvre is not attempted and the Nirbhay project authorities are desperate to go ahead with the trial even if it does not manoeuvre at low height and restricts between two km and one km flight height.

Comparing both links it is clear as day Both tests failed because failures are "assembly processes and quality of workmanship issues
But America Perfected and removed those failures hence tomahawk is being deployed all over the world while In india case they failed to remove the because

It is still a million dollar question why is this missile being tested when all its sub-systems are not properly validated for such tests. “Some of the top scientists are taking such decisions at the cost of public money to further their career,” claimed a defence official on condition of anonymity

So before comparing tomahawk and nirbahy failures, have the intellectuality to make a fair and unbiased comparison. Your scientists failures are no way near the failures of those american ones and cant be compared in any sense.

Why are people going ga- ga over a failure ?

I'd rather it fails during tests than in operations. Let it fail a hundred times if that what it takes for it to hit a target in war.

They should learn to make a plane first, submarine launched cruise missiles are way out of their league.

Yeah right ...... so tells a Pakistani .... lol
